One thing that isn't even mentioned is the lack of a curb at the drop-off area. This is subtle, but huge. I've flown out of the new LGA 4 or 5 times now, and it's so nice to pull your bag out of the trunk of a Lyft and then just roll right on into the terminal. And it is true that airports like Denver are world class, but ... Denver is not the most powerful capital on earth, New York is, and that is why it was strange that it had such an archaic airport. And everyone mentions the JFk or Newark, I think they also want them or are reforming them, because they are not exactly ... as I would say ... examples of airport architecture to follow.

The secret to a great LaGuardia experience is to go very early in the morning or after 8pm. You will have no traffic and you can be home in Manhattan in 30 minutes. I just flew in to the new terminal and it is beautiful. My only complaint is that the restaurants all close at 9 or 10pm and you have flights arriving up to 11pm. They need to schedule more late night arrivals and departures to ease congestion. And they need to keep the restaurants open later.
