I think if you put the clamp back in the original hole the play should dissapear. One solution would be to buy a second clamp for this hole.

This. I believe the play comes from the clamp not being lined up with the mount so it has to clamp harder to make up for the space between the original hole and the custom hole.

Could you buy another mounting plate and install it lower (near the floor) and have the original lever hole lined up to the lower plate? This way, if those who can't machine the arm could possibly get it lower than intended? Planning to do this as well, would love your thoughts

They (Lagun), now sell a double handled system that fixes this issue and gives almost 18 inches of vertical adjustment.

Tightness would resolve itself IF the clamp was in the right location. The holes are there, use them.

Lower the handle to eliminate the jiggle. You will exert more compression on the slit on the end of the mount

I am so GLAD I found this video. I have been having an awful time with my table because I expected the same as you - to be able to move the table all the way up and all the way down. That is not possible because of the length of the groove in the back of the leg which limits how much you can actually lower the table. So, my table does not stay in a position where I can comfortably sit at it. The bolt will not tighten it in that position and the leg just slips all the way down until it hits the floor. I have already ruined 2 legs because I was told I over tightened the bolt which, in turn, bent the leg so that it would not move at all in the channel. I think the idea is good but the design is flawed. I am very disappointed for having spent so much money on it.

Your application with extreme height range falls outside of the design specs of the product. So, I think your review is really unfair. I am not affiliated with Lagun in any way but I just found this review to be off kilter. The last segment about the post wobbling on the saddle is a result of the modifications you made to the product.

How come the US version only have one section of the swing arm as oppose to double swing?

Any idea what the other rail is for under the table? There is a rail on one side under the table.

You can attach the leg and arm assembly to the rail under the table then store the table and mount when traveling etc.
