I enjoyed this. I drank mine while watching it. I made mine through a classic filter and drip. No espresso machine for me. Cool channel. I subscribed.

Bought this for 8.88 Euro this morning. the bag is not telling you when they were producing. But if you look closely at the big box (6x bags pack if the supermarket didn't throw it away) it tells you the producing date. And mine was producing on 23.03.22 and today it's 16.04.22 ....so it's still pretty fresh.

What you have there is a mixture of two coffee varieties: arabica and robusta. The light color beans are the robusta beans. They are meant to provide plenty of crema. Your pour is way too fast. It should take between 25-30 seconds. A big problem with your "super automatic" espresso machine, and the reason that I don't like them, is that they don't allow you easily "dial in" the correct grind. You should be grinding this coffee finer. The crema is very light in color,. It should be a darker color. It should be thicker. It isn't, because the pour was way too fast.

Hey, thanks for the info. I can definitely make the grind in the super automatic more fine. But I totally get what you are saying.

How does this compare to Lavazza super crema?
@AtHomewithLucas
@AtHomewithLucas 2 жыл бұрын
Good question...so they both are Medium Roasts but the Super Crema should be sweeter then this one. I have not reviewed the Super Crema yet so I can't say for sure...hopefully soon I'll review it tho 💯😁

I've only tried Lavazza whole bean coffees. They have a line of coffee that's only available pre ground, and that's one of them. But knowing Lavazza I'm sure it's worth the $ 😁

Hello "People" your favorite word. The use the word, viewers which would be more friendly and intimate, they come here to enjoy your videos and they are not just ordinary people. Anyway just a suggestion above. LaVazza coffee is available throughout the world, in summary value for money, great taste for what you pay for. Very prompt in today's world of high inflation and affordability sure helps.

"Smoky bitter earthy sweetness" makes absolutely no sense. What I'm hearing is this is a bitter coffee and I would likely hate it (or go nuts trying to under-extract it just enough to find its sweet spot, if it even has one).

How do you brew your coffee daily?
@d0nj03
@d0nj03 4 ай бұрын
@@AtHomewithLucas Cold brew normally, because I want to bring out those sweet fruity and chocolatey aspects but also just to get more flavor overall, "dig it out" from under the bitterness, as it were. But I've been experimenting with "hot-water methods" trying to take up my Aeropress again lately, that's why I'm also looking at coffee brand reviews now. :D

That's funny because you are making me want to cold brew now lol 😆
@d0nj03
@d0nj03 4 ай бұрын
@@AtHomewithLucas Well, then I'm going to mention another thing that took me a while to learn: I always liked the taste of cold brew better on the next day after declaring the infusion process "complete", so the second pour at 48h always tasted better to me than the first one at 24h, and I didn't get why at first but also didn't investigate much. Switching back and forth between different filtering implements I figured it out after a while: that mix of sweet notes "freed" from too much bitterness, that I think is the main attraction of cold brew, only comes out to the maximum extent if you make sure to have as little fine-ground coffee or "body" content in the final drink as possible. Turns out, while filtering through paper is a must, it _still_ doesn't get you the cleanest possible pour - what you need is also to let the coffee sit for many hours after any episode of moving the and disturbing the container with the grounds still in it, so that everything that's heavier than the drink can settle at the bottom. Then you pour gently without disturbing it too much, filter through paper, and that's how you get the pinnacle of what cold-brew has to offer.

If you’re going to review you should know your stuff. It’s not two different roasts. It’s 2 different types of beans. Arabica and Robusta.

Well that bag is not 100% Arabica I believe it's 70% Arabica and 30% Robusta Coffee. Some people are "allergic" or don't like Robusta...for me I find it gives me an upset stomach. LaVazza likes to make blends with there roasts so some may taste great because it's not a blend and others taste gross "blend"
