I just purchased this Botslab and found your video. I'm elderly. I don't know how to attach to stucco. Do people attach it to a screen door? When I have tested it, it makes a screeching noise on my phone. My device did not come with the ejector pin to pop the doorbell off the plate. I don't know if i should hire a handyman.

If you have a drill, you can drill two holes first, then use the screws to hold the mounting plate on the wall. As for the ejector pin, you can use a thumbtack or paper clip. The noise is because you had your phone too close to the doorbell, causing a microphone feedback loop. One way to fix it is to mute the microphone on the app before you get close to the doorbell.

@@AtHomewithLucas - I bought a drill bit and put it in my Makita and then I was able to drill a hole and pop the four anchors into the stucco. I was really proud of myself. So then I attached the plate and everything was fine until I tried to attach the black wires to the back of the camera...The gold screws are flush against the back of the camera and I don't know how to unscrew those and what type of screwdriver to raise them up a little bit so I can slide the wire underneath.

@margie453 use the two wires that came with it.

OMG...After I sent that last message about gold screws flush against the camera, then I realized there were two small black screws left over in the box and that's how you're supposed to attach the black wires. There's just no instructions in the manual to really help. I've never attempted anything like this and I can't believe that I got the whole thing set up. I couldn't believe I heard the doorbell ring and could see myself once I pressed the doorbell. Somebody who's experienced might be able to do this in 10 minutes but it took me all day and now it's getting dark and I'm so happy that I got everything to work and I'm absolutely stunned. I saved myself money in trying to get an electrician or handyman to do it and I am so proud of myself. I am in shock...not because I forgot to turn off the power 😂🤣 but because I did shut the power off to the house, but because I was able to accomplish something that is so foreign to me. Thank you for your support. This was my first time contacting anybody on KZbin too, I wasn't sure if it was going to work. 🫶

"VR Mode" in title, zero mention of a "VR Mode" in the video.

As I don't own a VR headset I wasn't able to do a full segment on it. So I apologize if you wanted to see more.

I bought this doorbell. You can use VR mode when live viewing. That's great to see all around the front door. Love it so far.

That's so awesome! Thanks for sharing...what VR headset do you have?

I was excited to get my Botslab (same-day delivery). I wonder if there is a doorbell mount that will fit this cam? I don't trust the sticky tape and I don't want to put holes in my apartment door. 😞
@AtHomewithLucas3 ай бұрын
You don't trust the sticky because it may fall off the door frame or because someone may steel it?

@@AtHomewithLucasright! Is there a doorbell mount for it? was the question we wanted answered btw
@AtHomewithLucas3 күн бұрын
@bretershitable like an anti-theft mount?
@abarzua21able5 ай бұрын
Does it have anti-theft [feature] since you don’t need to screw anything in? Just by using the adhesive, someone could steal it.
@AtHomewithLucas5 ай бұрын
Oh no, you screw it in if you want to keep it safe. It has two screw holes and comes with screws.

It does have anti theft feature , alarm goes off if attempting to remove

@HCamp108 thanks for the info

How do you prevent someone from stealing it? It’s so easy to snap off even without the pin. It has screws, but that’s for the mount not the doorbell itself. Someone can just take it. It snaps off when u insert a small pin on the top…
@AtHomewithLucas3 ай бұрын
@ChuckD-b5o this does have a tamper alarm if someone tries to steal it. I'm not sure if that will cause someone to stop stealing it and leave it behind.

Its a bit of a trade off, you get great viewing angle at the expense of picture quality so it really depends on what the buyer really needs. Ive found that speaking to people at our front door using this device is not very good, distorted and crackly. If anyone knows how to remedy this then please let me know.

How far is your doorbell to your hub and hub to your router?
@Paul-gk1zy9 күн бұрын
@@AtHomewithLucas they are all pretty close, well within the distance recommended
@AtHomewithLucas9 күн бұрын
The hub should be halfway between your router and doorbell. If the hub is too close to the doorbell and further than the router I found, it would cause problems.
@Paul-gk1zy9 күн бұрын
@@AtHomewithLucas yeah I will move the hub and see what happens, I'm pretty limited for places to plug it in. Thanks for the advice 👍
@Paul-gk1zy9 күн бұрын
Just moved the hub so it's in-between the router and the bell and the signal strength is now at 100. I haven't had a chance to test the speaking through the bell yet.
