Every since I had my hip replaced I use a purple seat cushion. so no matter the seat I add purple & it makes a world of difference.

Thx Micky. My CT trail has the older seat. A simple pad for by butt absorbs the bumps. Cut up yoga Matt, small dense pad from sporting goods stores also works

I think a good seat at this moment might be the new Flevobike seat that is fitted standard on their GoLo. It has full mesh (ventilation) but is extremely firm (but comfy), so no hammock feel. And it has side support for your lower back and a headrest/whiplash protection. It is for more upright trikes/quads though and not sure when it will be fully commercial available

I have a Sunseeker Tadpole and the seat allows me to keep sliding forward and I have to push myself back often on a ride which is annoying. I wish Sunseeker could fix this problem and make a seat for us old heavy guys. Just looking at the seat you can see that it is shaped and leans forward which would cause this problem. It has small tires (skinny) and accelerates quickly. However, after you mentioned the bigger softer tires for a smoother ride, I'm going to speak with my tech about bigger softer tires. I just put new tires like the ones that came on the bike when I purchased it three years ago. The old ones looked good but having 1800 miles on them made me nervous. I ride on paved trails 99% of the time. When I bought the trike, they said I would get 800 miles on the tires. They were off only by 1000 or maybe more miles. I still see the little wear slits so maybe they would have lastest even longer.

Thanks for recognizing that not all trike riders are skinny speed demons. I think my new TerraTrike Rambler will be delivered in a few weeks. I am eager to see how the new seat feels.

Hi Mickey, just wanted to let you know that you can get 225 x 20 tires & they work fine on 19 mm wide rims which really surprised me but I'm on my 2nd. year with them & have put them through some pretty rough stuff, high speed & hit the occasional pot hole. They are a 100 lb. tire that I run at 45 lbs. pressure & surprisingly they are not a slouch when it comes to speed. I have run beside my buddies Expedition & he is only just slightly faster with his lower seat & Schwalbe Road Cruisers.

Awesome video as usual and now I’m subscribed. I have severe neuropathy and I need SOMETHING to hold on to because of my balance issues With my feet. Would the headrest on the ICE seat work to hold on to? Are there seats that FOLD DOWN to be able to Get in the back of an SUV? What are the easiest trikes to get in and out of ? I will be adding pedal/throttle assist as well. One last thought, is a Delta style easier ? Thank you for your info !

You can get grab handles for each trike that make it easier to get in and out of since there is something stable and a bit higher to gran a hold of. Catrike seats can fold down and many seats can fold down or come off with quick releases. A few trikes that are higher seating (easier to get in and out of) are the TerraTrike Rambler, ICE Adventure, or Greenspeed Magnum. The tadpole style is just as easy if not easier than the delta style.

The 700 is an awesome trike and I ride it about 600 miles per month and as fast and fun as it is, the ride is a bit harsh. I also have a 559 which I ride around 300 miles per month and choose the 559 when riding trails that have a rougher surface as it is more comfy on my 70 year old body.

I have the mesh seat for my Greenspeed Magnum XL can I put a Ice Eugo lux on it?

The Ergo lux won't fit, the the Ventisit XL seat cushion will.
