I really like the rock work! Also i like that you did rock work in your tunnels, look forward to seeing the cam car run through them

Hi Doug - The Buckeye Brewing Company sounds like a cool structure. "Ice Cold". Cool shot of your Dad, getting into the pickup truck. Nice rock work into the tunnel. Like how you put sand on the tracks, that came from the locomotives. Well done control panel. Well done airbrush work on the track. Congrats. • Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂

absolutely love this layout. I'm currently stationed in texas, my next assignment is in Japan I hope to, when i come back to the states to build a layout inspired by this one. Keep the videos coming, also would love to see an operation session on this layout

+Conner Hawes I had a lot of trains running in the last couple updates. It's hard to run trains when the layout is in work mode, and we haven't run trains in awhile, so the track is in need of a good cleaning as well.

I have to say the layout looks fantastic Doug keep up the good work. And I have to agree with the other gentleman the rock work on the side of the walls there look fantastic they look really real realistic. The only thing I wish was different if it was O Scale 2 Rail because that’s what I’m into. Sorry no offense

Looks good. Don't spill any of that rail brown!!!! Aside from Lionel, who made those reefers? I could definitely see some variation in the color...
@Laidoffsick9 жыл бұрын
+Steven Michael There are reefers from Lionel, MTH, Atlas and K-Line sitting there. Some of the Lionel reefers are not even the same color.

Hello, correct me if I am wrong, but did you do a tutorial on how to convert MTH and Lionel diesel engines unfixed pilots to fixed pilots?
@Laidoffsick7 ай бұрын
I never did videos on that, just written explanations on the OGR Forum

What is the height between levels of track? Also, how far up from the floor is the lower, middle and upper levels? Great Layout!! Buddy
@Laidoffsick8 жыл бұрын
train clearance between levels is 6" but track height is 7" plus between them with plywood and roadbed. the bottom level is about 45" from the floor and the top level is just over 60". My Dad and I are tall so most people are looking upwards or need a stool. the engine service area is the main level at about 54" from the floor. eye level detail ....... thats what O Scale is all about

One last quick question. I’m assuming all curves are O72? Any issues running a vision line Big Boy on your layout?
@Laidoffsick8 жыл бұрын
minimum 072 with 080 on the outside and lower level. both Legacy and VL Bigboys run just fine anywhere on the layout. we used that along with 21" passenger cars for testing during construction. Crossovers are Ross Regulars (11degree or equal to #5s). some Ross 072, 080 switches as well for the reverse loops.

Check out my other youtube channel CDH Weathered, i do a lot of Custom model weathering if that is something you are ever interested in

+Conner Hawes Thanks. I sub'd your channel. You do nice work. I normally do my own weathering when it comes time, but eventually I'll get some stuff from others as well, just to have the variety.

so question, is it your layout or you fathers? I'm really confused.
@Laidoffsick7 жыл бұрын
Well it's OURS. We paid for and built it together... it just happens to be at his house because he had the space for it. Now that I live in New Mexico, I guess you could say that it is all his.
