Laila, I will forever remember a magical night of being blessed to watch and listen to you and your team play live in Mississauga, Ontario some years ago (a sweet gift from a dear friend). Your talent blows my mind. Moreover, your passion and joy...thank you. As I find solace in music and my hands/fingers unfortunately no longer work as they once did, I found myself questioning "I wonder what this lady is up to these days? (aka - any new music)". I'd never heard of you until I watched Sting's "A Winter's Night" concert last week and noticed you in the background. Then I watched you sing "Joy to the World" and thought, this woman belongs to the Lord and has received her King. I loved your singing and how you so easily sing and play fantastic music on the piano at the same time! I went on to listen to more and read more about you. It sounds like you've been through a lot, but have risen out of the dust. I'm so happy to have discovered you, your voice, your piano, your person, and to discover you as a sister in Christ!
