Your point about the mini UGGs being like slippers… that’s the whole point! Here in Australia (their homeland!) all types of uggs are literally just slippers, absolutely no one wears them outside the house unless taking the bins out 😆 it’s always culture shock to go to the states and seeing people wearing them in public!

I got the actual Hercules baby tee after having a dupe for like a year and it’s probably the perfect example of something being trendy online vs trendy irl. I’ve literally never seen another person wearing it irl lol, and my friend didn’t even know it was trendy, let alone an older trend. That’s why I think that if you like a trend past it’s peak, you should get it. Because it will probably become a staple in your closet if you still like it once other people online start calling it “cheugy” and chances are, nobody else that you actually know will have it lol

Just started using a claw clip and now I understand why everyone loves them. I have pretty thick curly hair and it holds my half up half downs no problem. I don’t think claw clips will ever go out of style, just different styles and sizes will fluctuate.

Amen to that last part! I think pant shape is so dependent on one's personal body shape and style preferences. For example I prefer high waisted pants, because low waisted just doesn't fit on my body well and slips down easily, so I don't care if high waisted pants go out of style I'm going to keep wearing them.

I actually interned at this company for a short time. You know UGGs are from Australia (but I was in CA). I was told they were created as boots for surfers. You get out of the water and put the boots on, no socks. The sheepskin forms to the shape of each persons foot and the lanolin in the sheepskin softens the skin on your feet.

I feel like you have a good eye for what is a quick trend and which things have staying power most of the time. It’s cool being 35 and into fashion bc I’ve already seen most of this stuff come and go-it’s easier to know what will stick around. Like Docs will never go away, they always flux in and out a little in popularity, but no one will think you’re outdated when they’re down trending. New Balances were really big for a hot moment with 2005-2009 indie hipsters before dying out. Dickies we’re also really big in the early 2000’s but didn’t last once skinny jeans came back (they were originally popular in the 80’s). Dude doc martens are a cornerstone of my aesthetic but I cannot wear them because I have super fallen arches and bone spurs and need 500° of arch support and wearing docs is about as bad as walking barefoot for me. I compromise with birkenstocks most days and throwing on giant 5" platform Demonias when I want that effect. I DO have one pair of brown shoe style docs but they were thrifted and already broken in plus they seem to be a really old model. They're more like hiking shoes and they're the only docs I've found that I can wear for more than 3 hours without pain
