Gaming With Luigi had to do with clipping some stuff, using my snow ball mic on my mac instead of pc, and miss judging how loud it was relative to thing I clipped, so essentially from screwing up a bit.

Can I tribute an opponent's monster if my card effect reads "tribute this card"? Yesterday I tried a combo with lair of darkness and electromagnet warriors, we were confused about tributing my warriors to SS Delta from the deck.

If a card says tribute this card you have to tribute this card, when a card says tribute a card, you can tribute any card. If a card says tribute a magnet warrior, if your opponent has a magnet warrior you can tribute it.

I think I can help with that. Brandish is an amazing archetype. Mostly depends in having no monsters in the main monsters zone. Tbh without Maxx C they would have no problems AT ALL since they are deck that depends on Special Summoning.

How do you know how many tokens to summon because master duel confuses me when I use viruses with it.

How every many equals the number of dark monsters tributed that turn while this copy of lair is on the field.

@@LegacyCrusaders then how come whenever I do like grinning grave virus, and my opponent destroys 5-6 cards like 3-5 tokens pop up at the end of their turn?

You only summon for monsters tributed it says it on the card, if you summoned 5 tokens, 5 monsters were tributed. I can't comment on specific games i cannot see.

No, Ectoplasmer isn't a cost to tribute, its effect, and lair only tributes your opponents monsters as cost.

Not while lair it's in board. As long as there is a valid monster on board you can activate a card such as monster gate.

You have to use it in your opponents end phase to summon tokens for them, it is mandatory

Both players get tokens, the player who controls lair activates in ends phase and summons them wherever they want on the field of the turn player

Is the second effect of LOD an ignition effect?

The effect to make tokens does trigger in the end phase and most trigger for the turn to end as it is a mandatory effect.

The tributing effect does not activate, it is continuous-like and does effect monsters, it will not start a chain.

@@LegacyCrusaders not really up to date with all the meta, literally haven't played since xyzs and synchros came out. All of a sudden the games turned into who can go through their whole deck and set up a board that there opponent can't get around in one turn. Just thought it would be cool if I could tribute an opponents monster to destroy another of their monsters and still have eccentrick on the board, not the brainest play lol. I miss the old Yu-Gi-Oh :(

If a card doesn't say target it does not target. Same goes for all cards printed after Problem Solving Card Text has become a thing. Since 2014 I think. Lair's effect is continuous, and it doesn't tribute anything, the card you activate that pays cost tributes, and those costs generally don't say target.
