All Mike & Rick had to do was cut the team down but they refused. They got bigger than what they could handle which is why they sold it to Marc Roca in the 1st place to keep things afloat. Why would Marc keep the same failing business practices that got the company in trouble? Making Luis Mora part owner & having a small team is actually good business. This new Lakai is growing on me.

I don't know shit about skating. I played basketball my whole life, but it is awesome and very impressive to watch. I watch your videos to learn as much as I can haha I appreciate the uploads and the standards you hold the pros to. I do the same thing watching NBA games. They're the highest level, so they should be doing everything at that highest level standard. They should be doing the things "normal" people can't do and doing them essentially perfectly. Just put a small, subtle name in white on every clip, UNLESS the skater was properly introduced into their part and it's them skating (sometimes you see other skaters even in a named skater's part). But man, I wanna know who these guys are so I can appreciate them and maybe become a fan of their work

the filmer (Luke) is very good at his job. Lakai might just be my favourite skate brand as of lately, they have some pretty good skaters with Roman Hager, Gabryel Aguilar and Kyonosuke Yamashita. Luis Mora’s videos are always fun to watch when these guys are there

This is the whole or most of the lakai team I believe. Most people left or kicked off as the company got sold. Louis the youtube guy became a partial owner to help the company stay skater owned and try and revive it. Tbh I’m rooting for them but you know how skaters like to complain.

I totally agree about skaters being named. Maybe it doesn't look as clean but I think a subtle name in white at the bottom right or left of the screen for EVERY trick is preferable. UNLESS they have the standard skater intros. But even with those, sometimes they feature some of their friends on a trick or two so THOSE GUYS should get named. So yeah that's one thing that annoys me and I feel like it doesn't allow you to appreciate the skaters as much. I shouldn't have to do some damn forensic video analysis to find out who I'm watching when I see a rad trick.

i do like the idea of putting the name of the skater in these videos. i like to know who’s skating especially on these new videos where i don’t know a single skater. i miss how they used to credit them as soon as they appeared on the screen.

Every trick should have the skaters name in the bottom right corner like an artist, "or a place on the screen that does not interfere with the trick." That'd be the best because sometimes I see a clip, want more, and then don't know where to look.

honestly, coming from the 00s - Lakai, Girl, Chocolate was the GOAT. They lost it while milking with the legends without building up a new legend team. Feel glad Lakai gets some re-do allthough I hated it before. I mean this is the first 20min of Lakai in 10 years or something :D

The only lakais I ever had were their version of the koston one in brown/gum. Comfortable, faithful to original design, decent leather quality, comfortable. But kinda felt cheap compared to es original, and soles came unglued and detached before they had any significant wear. Never have or will buy another pair

Depends on your feet. Been skating Lakais for over 12 years & haven’t had any issues. The Manchester & the Griffin are my go to’s. I’ve compared em to Axion, DC, Filament, éS, Nike SB Blazer Mid, Emerica & always go back to Lakai. Skated strictly Axions before Lakai. I wanna try Footprints tho.
