Its called Quantize....and they use it in the studio A LOT!!!
@Kyusup
@Kyusup 5 жыл бұрын
@Jason Kim quantizing is a function for equalizing midi-recorded files. but you can edit timing on live guitar audio recordings by splitting/shortening/elongating/time-stretching or just recording each section of a song over and over until its perfect. so technically you cant use a (quantize function) but guitar is easily (edited) to have the same effect quantizing would have on midi files.
@ryndanriley5348
@ryndanriley5348 5 жыл бұрын
@Jason Kim I can say pretty confidently that there is some timing assistance of some sort happening on most guitar recording these days, even if it's not a normal quantizing.

Truly unique music. What I really envy about Scott and Tim is that they must have hooked up as musicians and friends and played together so much and had so much time for one another's music because what they play is complex, intertwined, syncopated and mutually-supportive. I had enough trouble in my senior years just finding other musicians playing guitar at all.

There’s something about the tone and amount of precise technique involved with the riffs in this song that if it isn’t EXACTLY replicated, it just doesn’t sound good. I feel like their older songs that had more emotive single note melodies with vibrato and articulations translated better live. They had much less room for error

AlL tHeY dO iS pLaY nOtEs FaSt and arpEggIos haRmoNics aNd .Yes they are playing guitars... and they clearly are more talented than the average player. Its like people know that they are so good that they have to call them out when they miss one fucking note. The drummer is literally on musical steroids. He's insane differently my favorite drummer. I love this song but the bass and drums are the main leaders for me. The guitar is also super cool, but the bass and the drums are insane.

Dude, just the contrast of Tim’s physical playing and the sound that his guitar makes is enough to confuse ppl, but on top of that he’s probably best described as “cute” in the mating world…. with neck tattoos 😂🤘🏽 then of course the heavy hitters: being good at what u do & gaining visible recognition from society for that ……clearly a recipe for some potent Haterade!

They are fucking sick live. Look at any of tim's vids when he's doing a playthrough. I saw them a couple days ago for the 3rd time. Nearly flawless show. This song in particular is wack without the full drum and bass.
