What a fun mixed bag of fish! I’m a little confused with all of greenery at Barrett, is that recent?
@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman2 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for watching! It was a fun mixed bag. Yes, that was just a week and a half ago. I think with the full lake there’s more ground water. Not sure though but even this week it was still very green. Cheers!

pretty sure you could out fish a lot of Bass Pros with the quality of fish you catch from a float tube. You rep San Diego Lakes swimmingly! ever hear of a guy named Jim Brown? anyway, just wondering if you ever pour your own baits. Tight lines and keep the awesome vids coming. I really give your videos a lot of credit when I'm looking for local updates, and I'm in North Los Angeles, the "LA outback" (but more like the "LA County Triangle")

Hey, thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to reach out and watching the videos. I have definitely heard of Jim Brown and know who he is. Yes I had a hand poured plastic company with my buddy for a few years back in the late 90s and early 2000s. I still have lots and lots of bags of baits from back then but a lot of the colors and styles of what works best have changed over time. Also, my style of fishing has changed as I have grown and learned more. I continue to try to learn some thing every time I go out and hopefully I can share it with the people who watch the videos as well. Cheers!

Haven’t fished Barrett in probably 25 years. Had great fishing when I went down there a few times. I’m glad I found these videos for the memories. However, you don’t really need to set the hook as hard as you do since it’s barbless hooks, do you?
@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Glad you’ve got great memoriesthere. I tend to set the hooks on jigs the same for barbed or barbless. I want to make sure the weed guard gets mashed down. Plus a big hook set is just plain fun! I don’t set them nearly that hard for other baits.
