Lake City, Florida- A Tour of the City

In this video, I will take you on a drive-through tour through the city of Lake City Florida. Lake City is known as "The Gateway to Florida" because it is adjacent to the intersection of Interstate 75 and Interstate 10. Although this city is small, it has a lot for you to enjoy when visiting. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed touring it.

I've been to Lake City a couple times. Nice place, nice people, good roads and I like the mall there. Plus, it's not far at all from Tallahassee, FL. 🧡💚🧡💚🧡

They've certainly built up Lake City since I last landed there in 2014. It is an excellent bedroom community for those who commute to either Gainesville or Jacksonville and its surrounding areas for work. Moreover, its a great place for retirees who are budget conscious. I am unsure if they have cleaned up the drug problem that was prevalent in the 2000s and early 2010s. Thank you for the video, as it brings out nostalgia as someone from Mayo, Florida, who used to go to Lake City nearly weekly until moving away after my father's passing. 😃

Coming from someone that’s been here for about 15 years (I’m 18) this place sucks it’s really expensive and there’s not many opportunities here unless you come from money. Other than that your best bet is to get out as soon as you can. as of a few months ago, we have the highest crime rate per capita in Florida and our school system is kinda iffy.

Hahaha reading the comments is fun. Lake City Florida, multiple shootings per week, high crime rate, corrupt & lazy police, the main human trafficking hub for the whole of the US and I'd hate to live anywhere else. El Potro is THE best Mexican food restaurant in the state, outside of the 'city' the countryside is amazing the whole region is surrounded by the most beautiful natural springs and wooded areas. Home of Fu King Chinese restaurant and did I mention El Potro? yeah well amazing food.

@@floridaroadtrippin9645I live in a projects on the outskirts of the country I hear about 2 shootings a month in my area it’s not too bad and also it’s actually in the heart that makes it “high crime rate” but I can say I have been shot at before I am 13 and still traumatized by it but I still live and wanna get outta this place

This place has a high crime rate in a dirty ass police department and sheriff's department.. there's absolutely nothing for the kids to do here... Been here all my life, just stay away if it's possible..

Not good location for children, not much to do anf lots of trouble. Im 16 and i jus moved from there after being arrested 3 times and been to most the school. The schools arent the best either and dont tmdo much for the students

Seriously? You have no clue what our community is about. We have the best Sports Complex north of Orlando. Baseball, soccer tournaments all year long. You missed the entire Ichetucknee Springs and cave diving area. If this video is a joke then you are wasting everyone’s time!

Definitely rude Linda. You may be right about the sports complex but you mentioned the springs. The springs are outside the city limits that's considered county. The video is clearly of the city.

@@floridaroadtrippin9645 You didn’t miss anything. The sports complex is nice, but it’s not the end all be all, and itchetuckee would have been out of your way. I lived here in lake for just about 25 years and this place ok if you love the to be in the countryside or can travel. There’s literally no real activities for most people, but stuffing your face at all the restaurants from Thursday-Sunday. I like it because it’s slower, and I a country boy who hunts, fish, and homesteads, but you are welcomed.
