The stones mark the 100th Anniversary of the National Trust. As for the story behind the engraving; I couldn't really say for certain. Although the region of the Lake District has a rich tribal history following the Romans, so it could be attributed to times of the Kingdom of Rheged, Viking or Celtic settlers in the region to name a few. If I come across a definitive answer I'll let you know.

Great footage, just a tiny bit of constructive criticism, the drone props are in a lot of the footage, you could crop the frame by probably about 7% and you would lose them.
