Great job with filming! I like how you provide the month and year you traveled. Many more ice cream cones in your future!

I'm interested in doing this bike tour. I have been watching / reading peoples experiences that have completed it. (I've never done a tour, yet.) I cannot believe you did this all on a single speed bike. Absolutely bad ass ! Great job dude

Thanks!! This was my longest trip so far and although the length of the trip was intimidating, it turned out to be very doable. Beside some minor challenges (hills, wind, and a couple flats) I would definitely do it again. Keep me posted if you go for it or any other tours!

What a great video, this is definitely on my to do list! Just curious - what size tires were you rolling on? Did you come across a lot of gravel paths? That’s always my concern as I roll on 25c but really no experience on non-paved surfaces. Once again, amazing video 🤙🏻

Thanks! I have 27x1-1/4” tires which I think are wider than 25c. I came across a lot of crushed limestone paths which felt just fine. From what I remember, I only came across one path (calumet trail in Indiana) with portions of small gravel before each intersection. But I’d probably avoid it anyways as it tends to flood from mineral spring rd to county line rd. Last time I was there, I took Dunes highway and skipped the flooded path (and gravel)

Hi, I am just starting to research the same trip. Did you do a pre established route or make your own? Great video!

Glad you enjoyed the video! I made my own route using google maps and planned it according to how many miles I could ride daily and where I’d spend the night (campsite or hotel). Good luck with your trip and reach out if you have any questions, I love this kind of stuff!

I enjoyed them all but Llovely Meadows Campground in Benzonia was my favorite! A unique spot and the dog was such a good boy

What the cost roughly to do one of these trips?

I think I spend more on my trips than the usual biker since I eat out a lot and stay at hotels too. I typically spend about $50 a day on food and drinks. If I’m camping it may cost $20-$40, motels about $50 but if it’s a hotel night it’s usually $150-$180. So I think this trip may have cost me about $1,800.
