Our cryptid, Memphre, is on the 2011 Canadian .25 coin in colour no less. Looks like Nessie. Such a beautiful lake and yet with pollution and invasive species issues.

That's very cool.

The lake will be there long after we are gone and the lake monster will again have the lake to itself. Peaceful sunset from the lake.

It looks like there is an island on the lake. It looks like they have roads over to it too. Monster huh? The coots are sure cute. That is a super deep lake! Weird that you can't say the first part or you'll get sued! That's a pretty sunset. Thanks for this Ken. That is a long and very beautiful lake. Good fishing?
@kensscenicjourneys7190 Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I believe it is good fishing.

Decent fishing but, apparently a lot of fish have been caught, that have tumors.

I remember hearing about that "Monster" back in 1969-70, I worked for Bay State Elevator Co at the time and I installed the elevator in the local School being built there. and heard about it then. Also flew over the lake. used to go out to Newport "International Airport as it was called. and go for plane rides. Don't remember the pilots name? but he was the instructor there kinds of a sort guy smoked a pipe. nice guy good pilot/instructor too!. found memories of the area!. ECF

Just like loch ness in scotland. But I reckon if you can't say the word, you could write it? That way you are only thinking out loud. Thanks

I wouldn't be too concerned about using the word Memphre.

Maybe you can afford the lawsuit? I think Ken is protecting his livelihood.

It’s pretty crazy that someone would try to license such a common word around here.

Right. Apparently they use it all the time in Canada

I saw signs for this Lake on my way up to Derby last week. To see Moe at Moe's equipment. Thank you for the video Ken I was wondering what that meant on the sign. I actually couldn't pronounce it LOL
