Heres a tip that I use when I fry fish, flip your drying rack upside down on the paper towels so that the paper towels can go through the drying rack openings and it will make it less greasy and more crunchy.

I started eating bass again just because it gets their undies in a bunch. It seems like some idea bass fishermen made up out of thin air in the past 20 years. Growing up I never heard of such a thing, we ate all the legal bass we caught.

I don't care as long as you don't keep a trophy fish, like in Minnesota people eat 4.5 pounders which is near the top of the pyramid in a lot of lakes

@@williamwilkes75 If its a pond that you own or fish exclusively I have no problem with that! I'm talking about lakes up North where the bass grow very slow, a 4.5 pound bass can be upwards of 15 or 20 years old in minnesota.

@@patrickbennett9511 what does it matter if it is a “trophy”. If it’s a legal fish then it shouldn’t be any problem with them keeping it. Outside of a couple protected fish species, people usually keep their “trophies” and also eat them. Why should bass be any different? They are just another game fish that is very plentiful.

Gabe, grew up in Orlando and the Conway chain almost everyday. For some reason we don't have any catfish in those lakes, so largemouth bass is what we ate when the Crappie weren't biting. Great stuff ! 🤘🤘🤘

Large and smallmouth are a big favorite up north in Canada. Great tasting meat and a good fighting fish to battle with. I used to fish for them in lakes in a boat just off from the edge of the lilly pads in early evening. I used surface lures that mimiced frogs and field mice. Got a lot of pike in the same locations.
