Hi, I got one last year, great boat for the money, I have used mine in windy weather and choppy water, no trouble at all, My one has the fish finder with it, handy to cruise around the lake and find where the fish are hanging out, all in all a handy bit of kit to have, all spares are easy to get and like you said ,,simple design so not much to go wrong..

yes the parts are easy to get and easy to fit unclip old part clip new part done there is about 6 parts in them i love mine

If this wasn’t a ‘bait boat’ it would be £30. But because there isn’t many on the market they are charging ridiculous prices.

am waning one of these myself ive been looking at boats for a while now but its a mine field i dont need a top end boat on brand all i want is something to take out the bait and drop the payload what they all do,i will be upgrading mine with a underwater camera and am wating the eco sounder aswell,every thing has bad faults weather its top expensive suff or cheap tact can you name any faults so far ie does it leak water in i remember the mk1 microcat leaking like mad as it had two small holes on the front hulls what did fill up on choppy waters and had to be emptyed once came in, the other thing i noticed its not jets and is propelas i use heavy weeded lakes think it will clog up or not am wanting to spend a full £800-£1000 with every thing on mine would you still recomend it

Not knocking the boat in any way but where the hell do they get their prices from? This is very low technology equipment compared to that of radio controlled aircraft. Model fliers went over to using brushless motors and lithium polymer batteries twelve years ago. For this sort of money i can buy a very sophisticated radio controlled helicopter, built and ready to fly all made from carbon fiber and fitted with a three axis stabilizing gyro. All with a level of technology that makes even 600 quid bait boats look stone-age.

A very sophisticated radio controlled helicopter can't drop a 12 inch herring along with a kilo of chopped mackerel heads accurately to a 15ft drop off at 150 yards though. :)

so what's your point? I'm saying that bait boat buyers are paying mega bucks for outdated technology. The equipment that is installed in the average (and high end) bait boat is stone age and way over-priced. My point is nothing to do with whether an RC heli is any good at dropping bait. Get ripped off pal,,,,,,,,,,,,,what the fuck do i care.

The simple answer to this is greed, they charge that price because they can, angling is an extremely popular sport and people who participate will pay daft money to give themselves an edge. If flying model aircraft suddenly became as popular as fishing, then you'd see a significant price hike in your hobby, that's for sure.

gavins point is right. they charge what they do because people will pay it. most fishermen dont care if the boats cost 50 to make and companies sell them for 300+ all they see is that it allows them to put bait in places were they couldn't cast and also allows them to bait up easily

Ine eats batteries like fun ,ive got 4 batteries, and there crap! Ive tryed to find some lithium batteries, but cant find them. So im going to buy another boat which has them already
