Lake Simcoe Ice Report

Out from Port Bolster with lots of ice, just slow travel over that rough pack ice. Over 1KM out, we found over 12" of ice!
Please be safe, as the ice thickness varies all across the lake. Talk to the local hut operators for the best advice!

Building a house for a client right on Shanty, cool watching so many people out there ice fishing. I imagine today (Friday) would be a great day for it. Pretty mild compared to most days this week.

@@BRICKTOP187 Thanks for watching! You don't have to go super far to try your luck, but for parking, it's super limited. There's a soccer field along the shoreline with minimal parking, get there early! Worst case I've seen people get $30 parking tickets if you are on the lawn too much
