When you showed us your old school box. I would really appreciate it a close up. I really couldn't see what made those jigs special or different.
@JCDropshot11 ай бұрын
It is a box of ice jigs that are mostly off the market but at one time where the most popular ice jigs out there. If you pause the video when I show the box you should be able to see them pretty good. If not shot me a message over on my instagram and I can take a picture of the box for you so you can have a better look. One thing besides what they are made of that stands out to me is that it uses a old verison of Paint that is no longer allowed here in the states and they glowed way better then many jigs on the market today.

As always very informative, you gave away my SQUID SECRET! LOL! That's always been my go to bait. I use them the same way only difference is I like to use the teardrops with the two little gold spoons at the top so when you jig'em u get that extra action and flash from the spoons. When ice fishing lake st clair start with a small chartreuse moon glitter tipped with exactly three spikes ! Everything will hit this bait and I mean everything finicky gills to large pike and trout ! No lie I have caught all species on this setup.when you start catching too many small fish then up grade to a beaded spoon but make sure you have it rigged on a second pole lol .good luck out there stay safe

Top 5: Kens Hooks, Slab Grabber, Gusters, Diamond Willow, Triple Bend haha, only really use beaded spoons. One time back in the day I say a guy fishing a jigging rap with a lead below it that had a tungsten jig that he was bouncing off bottom. Interesting but seems like it’d be a PITA

@mikedendooven44905 жыл бұрын
Scott McFalls I had the same question. The answer I received was to get the fish off faster with maybe a snap of the wrist after the fish is out of the hole. Then you can get the spoon back in the water before the school moves on.

Is for faster/easier release by just tapping on ice,But have good chance of missing bites/hook set as well.
