There is no better place to paddle than Kangaroo Valley on a calm day. On this trip we put in at Bendeela camp ground (3Kms from town) and paddled up lake Yurrunga to Beehive P oint. We camped for 2 nights but Beehive Point was not that inviting so we went further up Yurrunga creek which eventually goes to Fitzroy Falls. There we camped on the only flattish ground we could find which was an old road that crossed the creek before it was flooded in 1976. The flooded gum forest was amazing and a lot bigger than up the gorge where most people go towards Fossickers Flat. The hammock worked well unlike my camera so there aren't any shots of putting it up ...which was easy. But a possum did decide to drop gum nuts on my tarp all night which stopped a good nights sleep. But for anyone considering a hammock they are really comfortable much better than a foam roll on hard ground and only about 500gms.
