I'm fishing a new lake I've never been to for largemouth bass. This city lake turns out to be full of trash! Almost every bank is lined with garbage but there are some big bass living underneath this nasty water.

Aaaaa-Men!!!! I watch tournaments today and it's like these so-called "Professional" fisherman don't know how to read water, structure and conditions and I think Live Scope shouldn't be allowed. A depth finder is ok, but to literally use a screen to locate your fish is sad, Sad, SAD!

Not sure if this is a good idea, or something you guys have thought of already but I think you guys should make a bag or tube made from recycled materials that people can use for trash and such. This would be very benifishal hahaha and help keep the waters clean. I think it would be cool if you guys made a product that is portable and packable to bring to clean up while fishing.

I fish out there all the time on the Arlington side and have never seen that much trash, but I also don’t have a boat so I’m fishing from the banks of Richard Sampson and Bowman Springs park. Caught 4 small largemouth Monday after work.

I've never seen a lake this trashy in my 68 years of fishing or hunting. That's terrible. When my kids and I camped, fished etc. the rule was to leave the spot cleaner than we found it! This place would be challenging. 😧😧😱😱 Wow what a bass! My biggest was around 4 or 5 lb. How I'd love to get into some of those! Great job brother. God bless all here.

This lake I have fished for the past 3 years, it has monster bass I’ve caught many 5-9lb class fish out of this lake, all the trash comes from a park where sketchy people hangout on the Fort Worth side of the lake, it’s sad because one day this amazing fishery is gonna be nothing but a Garbage Filled Gar hole

A lot of that trash comes from publicly accessible bins, either at parks or restaurants that are neglected and not emptied often enough or at all, they are crammed to overflowing by the public, the lids fall off, then everything is free to blow out. Another contributor is poor trash can design: if the city contracts a collector that uses top-heavy cans, they are easier to tip over then have the bags rip as they blow away. Some trash is obviously intentionally left out - one thing you can guarantee at any fishing site is plastic and styrofoam live worm cups that fishermen purposely leave at their haunts. It's one reason I will never again in my life be caught carrying around those blue/white cups while fishing. Parks and DNR need to ban single use bait containers and issue heavy fines for violators since its mostly public land that they are dumped on.
