The absolute BEST crappie fishing and most memorable was on Nantachie Lake in Louisiana in my youth. There was a fishout spot (bank fishing) that I, my mom, and stepdad used to frequent right around the way from our house on the levy. IDK what it was about that spot, but we would bring in buckets (literally) of bigger than hand size crappie on real worms and plane 'ole bobbers alone. We would sit there for a good 4 hours and just be done! THEN I learned how to rig 2 / 3 jigs at a time and wow! I'd land 2 or 3 very near each cast. Core memories that can't be forgotten. That's also how I learned to easily filet panfish haha. Great video and looks like ya had some super fun that trip!

I was catching crappie from bank .... Also caught bass on crappie baits because water was cold and bass wouldn't eat bass baits but killing smaller baits ... I thought it was a crappie or blue gill because I was using bobber and didn't feel like a 16 inch bass

Love your stuff LakeForkGuy but I don't see the fun or the sport in staring at a video game/screen and dropping a jig over the side of the boat onto their nose.
@mrgreen83575 ай бұрын
It's just to easy with live scope now if you got the money of course im 43 and been fishing as long as I can remember technology has come a long way i foresee this live scope technology really affecting the fish populations in the future as technology gets better and cheaper more people will be using it like most things are expensive when new and get cheaper down the line and the people that catch and keep fish will be keeping their allowed amount when normally they don't catch their creel limit i personally have probably kept less than a dozen fish in my basically 40 years of fishing and i fish weekly i just like to fish for fun i grew up watching all the greats and even had subscriptions to in fisherman and Midwest outdoors when i was probably age 9-16 i got the subscriptions as part of my birthday present i wish i could afford a boat but still probably wouldn't use live scope just takes the fun away and the excitement not very fun just dropping a bait on a fish that you can see and keep dropping in front of it till it eats your bait plus when you can see it's size and discriminate against smaller and larger fish but i do like your channel and have been watching for years because you actually go out and fish and you dont do the stupid challenges and dont make it seem like a job
