My only question is why didn't you use a torque wrench after installing the tank valve? Everything else looks good!

Hello @BigFixx23, the short answer is experience on proper torque. I have been servicing cylinders my entire career, and have come accustom to the right amount of torque without the need for a torque wrench. This being said, you are correct, proper torque is to be applied when reinstalling the valve. It is encouraged that new inspectors use a torque wrench when first starting out.

No stand for dive tanks to prevent from falling down and causing more issues?

Hello @mgallager1449, great question. The short answer is I do not use a stand. Never really needed one nor had a puropose in using one.

Good informative video. I've been investing and planning on starting a hull cleaning and dive services business. Ive always wanted to work in the industry as a diver. Almost join the Army just to become a dive engineer. I'm a bit hesitant because i am not sure sure how to go about it. Looking into insurance and different things. I set up a website and business name. Found all the marinas around here. A couple marinas require 2 divers l, one on the surface, and 1 in water. Im trying to break free from my security job and grind for myself. Any tips?

Nice video, but surprised at the tank cover on the nitrox tank. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the big NITROX label?
@LakeHickoryScuba2 ай бұрын
Hello @RB-ie9wf, great question. The tank cover is only used on land to protect the finish. It is not designed to be used underwater.

What's with the wierd tank wetsuits? It seems to me like adding problems fo no good reason. Holding water against the tank promoting corrosion, or adding more buoyancy swing on that AL tank? The only advantage I can see is reducing negative buoyancy on a Steel tank if necessary, for when a diver needs to use a HP tank for more volume but where the negative buoyancy becomes an issue.

Hello @kevindavison6019, a lot of divers seem to be confused with the tank covers. They are only designed to be used on land to protect the finish of the cylinders during storage and transportation. The covers are not designed to be dived with on the cylinder. Hope this clears up the confusion.
