Like any good tale, this presentation starts at the beginning of the story of slavery and brings the audience from arrival of slaves at the Jamestown Colony to the shores of Lake Erie. The audience will learn of the authentic roles played by Lake County's prominent citizens who risked everything to provide a trail to freedom down the Grand River and across the Lake. Learn of the passion of local abolitionists, hear the story that connects Lake County to Uncle Tom's Cabin, and view photos of buildings and places still in existence that contributed so greatly to this story.
Please join us for this insightful and intriguing presentation! The Knowledge Exchange is held twice monthly and completely casual. Come when you can, for as long as you can and feel free to bring your lunch.
