I want him and Brook back too. A center than spreads the floor so that Julius can abuse power forwards all night. Love it. With Julius as our full time center we would miss the rim protection
@cjvangin
@cjvangin 6 жыл бұрын
part of rim protection is perimeter defense. randle is a great post defender so bigs wont kill him. if hes ur full time center you just need good perimeter d

One of the revelations for me this season beside the steady improvement by the young core was your spot on analysis. Every Laker fan knows that Julius was a beast this season but your comparison between last year and this year really drove that point home. I agree with you, I think the FO would be crazy to let Julius go; pay him the money and let him beast it up again next year. Thanks again for the informative and exceptional analysis this year Pete.

John Davis U need to educate yourself! 1.1 bpg 0.7 spg per 36mins that is totally acceptable.. He is at a length disadvantage but if u watch the games u can see situations where his strength is working to his advantage on both ends of the floor.. He drains whoever he is matched up against..

Randle earned my respect. He sulked in the beginning not being a starter and i thought he was better off the bench in a limited role. He was avging under 20 mins and 13pts, 8 rebs or so shooting 56% and dominating still. THan as a starter damn killed it and put up 16.1pts, 8 rebs or so, on 57% shooting. He should of started all along. I was wrong on him being an energy player and LNJ wasnt that much of a deference on D. Randle needs to be resigned. Hoprefully its at a reasonable price like 15 mil annually but we'll see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJvXd4irjd2trdU #CantHandleRandle #Bully

No ..3's are a luxury for a PF,, He needs a reliable 7-15ft jump shot. That way he'll almost guarantee nearly 30 Pts a night . This is something any shooting coach could help with.

To me, the most frustrating part of Randle's game - other than his inconsistent effort - is his tunnel vision. Way too many times - like you said - JR has his head down, bulldozing his way to the rim, drawing that gravity, without so much of a pass. It's as if he has his mind made up that he wants to score no matter how many defenders are on him. If he takes what the defense gives him , pass and shoot when he should, everybody will be better for it. He's a smart/intelligent young man, but that doesn't always carry over to the court it seems.

What games where you watching,, you mean JR Smith, Julius assists number where better the second half, Unless you're referring to the early season Julius Randle, yeah I'd agree with that

You can bet your bottom dollar that he is not coming back next year. 1. Lopez is a much more compatible front court player; 2. Kuzma will play the starting 4; 3. You can get Jeremi Grant for 5 mils and work as a backup 4, or Nerlens Noel for 5 mils as a backup 5. 4. Clippers will keep either Harrell or Jordan, therefore, Harrell for 10 mils or Jordan for 22 mils; 5. The only reason the Lakers put up with Randle this season is because he and Paul George share the same agent.
@theophilussparks5839
@theophilussparks5839 6 жыл бұрын
See the Yellow crack promo I posted. Julius is a Jump shot away from being an allstar. You really don't want your PF to jack up that many 3's. Besides he's a better finisher around the rim, and a shooting coach could easily help him develop a reliable 8-13 Ft Jump shot. That makes him around a 30 point a night player. If you have doubts,, you don't know basketball (it's really that simple) because at that distance it's all basics, just like park league.
@TheYeeway
@TheYeeway 6 жыл бұрын
Randle 's terrible defence discipline and functioning as a black hole on the offence end go way apart from Luke Walton's basketball philosophy. The only possibility that Randle resigns with Lakers is he is under 12 millions /year which makes him a decent bargaining chip on the table in the future. If you have doubts, let 's bet. Loser deletes his youtube account.
@theophilussparks5839
@theophilussparks5839 6 жыл бұрын
Randle's defense was admiral, considering the injuries, and lineup changes. What games where you watching ..??, besides he ,Julius guards and plays all 5 positions... Something Grant or Lopez or Kuzma can't do.. (or Draymond , or PG-13 for that matter)..

He's an under achiever. Only plays defense intermittently, can't show up to practice on time, and lacks leadership skills. They won't bring him back but only for a short time to sign and trade for Kawhi. LakerNation has become accustomed to losing. Sad state of affairs, but don't fret, Magic will not tolerate losing.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not a fan of re-signing Julius. He's improved drastically, but not to the point where he would merit near max money. I think Dallas is going to offer him around 18/yr and we shouldn't match. He still has too many shortcomings, specifically not having a consistent jumper, not being able to finish over size, and not being able to pass out the double team. He also has a habit of making bad decisions/turnovers at the most inopportune times. But the biggest reason I don't want to sign Julius is because of Kuz. You can't play him at the 5 full time, and Kuz is too good to keep on the bench for another 3yrs

Robert Jones kuz is a one way player Julius’s all around game right now is far to valuable to let walk away let’s be honest I don’t think kuz can be a starter at the three or four until he fixes those defensive shot comings that could be two or three years away
@austinnixon542
@austinnixon542 6 жыл бұрын
Robert Jones idk about the Dallas thing right now mark Cuban is in so much hot water that he may have to look to smell the team if any more bad press comes out about him and how they run that team. And if that happens I don’t think new ownership want to commit to a 80 million dollar contract they didn’t give out. Plus I think Julius will resign at 14~16 million a year I think he wants to stay but wants to feel like he’s a priority and part of the foundation of the team
@austinnixon542
@austinnixon542 6 жыл бұрын
Robert Jones also as much as I like kuz I’m not in love with him at the point of saying he can replace Julius’s impact if we lost. Also a lot of kuzmas best games other than the rockets game he shared a lot of time on the court with Julius whether it was small ball or they were playing big with kuz at the three and Julius at the four

Laker fans really talking like it's a privilege to play for this team.. (In recent years) Yall 100% don't deserve him here. I really hate to say that but it's the truth. I hope he gets to leave.. I have a feeling he'll break out even more soon.. Situations mean everything.. Just look at Oladipo.. He's 25 now and no way did we see what he's been doing in Orlando or OKC.
