@ Yeah I definitely understand and that's probably the only real argument/point that I really can't counter(that being the "what about the fans" point) but there's still a big misconception that he's just sitting out just to sit even though in reality he's injured. Or at least he was/is managing a lingering knee injury that he got from playing hurt(quad injury) during last seasons playoffs. I'm pretty sure he doesn't necessarily enjoy sitting out because just for reference Kawhi is still getting into basketball shape as he didn't really get to play basketball throughout the summer(free agency) or go to training camp with the team. Therefore hes been having off games as we've seen. Not to mention that he had a knee contusion that sat him out for 3 games .

I remember when JACKIE MCMULLAN said that LeBron and AD would struggle to play together. They'd be a work in progress, bigs like AD aren't that easy to integrate into a side with LeBron James, the Clippers won't struggle as Kawhi fits into any team/System and here we are, Lakers with 19 wins and 3 losses, top 2 defense with a top 5 offense. Best defenders of the paint, they're clicking, they said the Lakers had a creampuff schedule, back to back wins(ON THE ROAD) against Playoff teams like Denver and Utah, holding them both down to 96 points. It's pretty Clear the Lakers are Legit. They mean Business, They're here to stay. LeBron and AD have clicked/meshed quicker than expected and the Lakers are big favorites for the chip. As for who's better between the LAKERS and the Clippers? It's a clash of styles. As a Lakers fan i believe the Clippers are SLIGHTLY better than the Lakers due to the fact that they are elite perimeter defenders(have alot of Depth on the wing too) and have Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams who can go off for 20+ whenever Kawhi and PG13 are struggling which gives them 4 legitimate scoring options. The LAKERS on the other hand have reliable 27+ ppg scoring from LeBron/AD however who's gonna be that 3rd guy to supplement the scoring punch of LeBron and AD? It was supposed to be Kuzma but he seems to be struggling to catch a rhythm and fit into his role, hopefully it changes soon and Kuzma can provide the Lakers with a consistent 15-20+ppg output. The Lakers lack depth on the perimeter however they're Guantanamo Bay in the paint due to their size and length( Dwight, JAVALE,AD, Kuzma,LeBron) Clippers-Perimeter fort knox, LAKERS- Paint Fort Knox. I think the Lakers need 1 more wing defender in the Mould of an Andre Iguodala(HOPEFULLY), if not Someone like Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. Otherwise it's lonely at the top for the Lakers and the Clippers.

People also forget to look at the overall records, regular + postseason records. Even if the Warriors won the 2016 finals, their overall record would be 89-16 (take away that game 7 loss, and make it a win). The Bulls, who won it all finished 87-13 overall (88-13, if we add a 4th game to the 3-0 sweep for today's 1st round series length). They lost though, and sit at 88-17 overall.
