Because he can’t be exposed on that end. When u play for weaker teams and u know ur not goin anywhere, the energy on defense is not the same. His capability will always be there and when time comes like the post season I am sure he will step up. One thing I can tell u for sure… he won’t have a negative 50 plus minus. And on offense he won’t choke either. Speed is also one of the huge factors as he can keep up with the pace of other guards.

He was literally their 4th-6th best player in all 4 series last year on the way to 16-4 (very few teams ever win title winning 80%+ of their playoff games)🏆. He’s 1st team all nba role player, glue guy, and zero F’s given super confident. My Pacers already miss him from Siakam trade. He was a big reason D-Lo shit his pants in the WCF last year! D-Lo is the more skilled offensive player, but he’s inarguably been one of the most inefficient PLAYOFF players ever (and bad defender). 133 active players have scored 300+ playoff points and D-Lo is 131st in True shooting percentage! Only horrific Cam Payne & all nba defender Dillon Brooks have a worse TS%. For the playoffs (which is what matters)I would take Bruce Brown 100x out of 100 over D-Lo. Bruce Brown last 2 playoffs (he was good for Nets too) is shooting 52% FG%, 34% from 3, and 85% FT%, elite defense. He was very clutch too last year for nuggets in playoffs. Lakers adding Murray & Bogdan would def help also, but I feel Trevor (and some others) underrating how elite of a 2 way role player Bruce Brown is. I do agree losing D-Lo you’d wanna add Tyus Jones, TJ McConnell or someone like that too though. Watched a few minutes of Dejounte tonight vs the Warriors. Very fast very very fast and athletic guard. Decent jumper and handle.
