Rui is underrated on the defensive end and his midrange is excellent. Giving that man a three point shot is horrifying, but to be honest he’s always had that potential. He had a 42 game stint on the Wizards where he shot FORTY FIVE PERCENT from three. He can knock those down. I think Grizzlies fans (and I’m a Memphis native) are thinking that was an outlier, but it’ll be a fatal mistake for teams to think Rui can’t hit those. He is a threat from everywhere, and so is Reaves.

The Lakers now have multiple players capable of stepping up in big moments. Last game was Dennis. This game was Reeves and Rui. They also have a defensive ace in Vanderbilt. This combined with the solid core nucleus of AD, Lebron, and Dlo makes them formidable. Can’t key in on any one player like teams could do in the past. Only change I would make is give more minutes to Lonnie Walker and less minutes to Troy Brown due to Walker’s upside. If the lakers get one more player who can get hot at any moment even if short stretches they will be tough to beat. Also Dennis is an underrated defender with clutch ability.

Man this was such a great game all around for my Lakers. Especially on the defensive end led by AD with his 7blks x 3stls. This team has a lot more on offense than even I’m willing to admit. Reaves x Rui combined had 8 3s, Schroeder has proven to drop 20-25pts when it’s time to, Beasley can knock down 3s as well. Bron x AD x DLo really didn’t have to take the game over that much which gave the rest of the team all the confidence in the world. I wish this team was around from game 1 this year. Cause this a squad fr fr. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Go Lakers!!!
