Looking back, it’s a good thing we didn’t get PG. We would have too many wings and he would’ve cut minutes from BI, Kuz, KCP, and Hart. It also allowed us to get the vets. Lebron almost beat the warriors by himself in game 1. We have a far better team than the Cavs last year so we’re gonna surprise a lot of people. Keep in mind it’s the first time in lebrons career he has a wing like BI, point guard like Lonzo and a core like we have. Should be a great season, go Lakers!

We have a better team but you can't discount the fact that the cavs play in the east. Easier road so th math isn't as simple as you made it. Don't mean you shouldn't be excited. It's gonna be fun to watch this year.
@shun87386 жыл бұрын
Call Me Mister the fact is ... we (laker fans) at least most of us ... were expecting this team , without lebron, rondo, lance , nd mcgee , to make the playoffs this year anyway... nd you add lebron nd its something different. You mean to tell me lillard and the blazers can get 3rd nd you don’t think lebron nd the lakers can make top 3 ? We will have AT WoRST the 4 seed . Nd i believe we will get higher than tht . Nd be scary in the playoffs.
@imyourhuckleberry45476 жыл бұрын
ethan24 a lot of people are extremely underestimating this team because the core pieces are young. But Brandon, Lonzo and Kuzma aren't your average youngsters. They are extremely gifted, pair that with the best player in the nba and it becomes a deadly combination. If you take away the warriors 3 point shooting, there goes half of there offense. This laker squad is no joke.

People are slamming these signings but I wonder if they watched the last season of basketball. Houston almost beat G.S. because they were hungrier, only an idiot would say Houston had more talent. The players Magic and Pelinka put around Lebron are hungry and infectious. Furthermore, it is more than reasonable to think Ingram averages 20/6rpg/5apg, Kuzma 20ppg/8rpg, Lonzo 15ppg/10apg/7rpg, Hart 13ppg/7rpg. That right there is way more than Lebron had to work with in Cleveland. Mark my words, the Laker will win the NBA Championship next year and you will feel it about 2/3 way through the season. Finally, Lebron is tricking the league. Lebron is an equalizer, one of the few in history (Magic, young Kareem, Shaq, Lebron, a few others). Meaning, he could go to any team and make them a contender. Lebron knows what the Lakers have and what he needs to win it all.

I like how Rob (and Magic too) speaks.... Lakers is going to be huge this season and I am surprised ppl questioning their moves actually. Take a look at our roster: Starting Lineup (backup) PG: Lonzo (Rondo, Caruso, Newman) SG: KCP (Hart, Stevenson, Svi) SF: Ingram or Lebron (Kuzma, KCP, Deng) PF: Lebron or Kuzma (MoWag, Deng) C: MoWag (McGee, Zubac) We basically have 5 interchangeable guards, 5 interchangeable wings/forwards, and 3 different Centers to play with. People discounting the Lakers, saying we have no chance to beat the Warriors, has definitely forgotten these young Lakers had brought an extremely tough fight to the Warriors last season. Lakers was and still is a tough matchup to the Warriors. Lakers vs Warriors Lonzo (Rondo) Curry KCP (Hart) Klay Ingram or Lebron Durant Lebron or Kuzma Iguodala or Green MoWag (McGee) Green or Cousins In terms of 1 and 2 Guards quality and depth, Lakers easily rank top 5 (Warriors, Rockets, Portland, Utah) In terms of 3 and 4 Forwards quality and depth , Lakers are in the top 3 zone (Warriors, Pelicans) Centers.... ok, that position is not important (>.< Hahahaha ) I am also very glad we didnt bring back Randle (as much as i appreciated him for last season). Randle is basically a poor-man-Lebron, and if you already have Lebron crashing into the paint for layups or dunks, Randle just doesn't fit anymore. Also I don't see Randle playing better than last season, now that a huge influx of quality and lengthy Centers/PF into the NBAs. Randle being a short 6'9 struggled against length (BIG TIME). Love the decision to just let him walk and instead preserve for next free agency (2019). MoWagner's plays in the Summer League makes it even better, now that I think he can easily replace the defence (better steals + blocks + mobility) of Randle, improves the spacing (with 3pt shooting potential) and let Lebron cover Randle offence (the paint bully game).

Question for people who don't agree you can be a fan of certain players instead of a team and it's ok to follow guys from team to team: According to the US Census Bureau, there are close to 19,522 cities in the United States, but only 29 of them have an NBA team. So what are people who live in the 19,493 other cities suppose to do? Pick a city at random they have no attachment to and become a die hard fan of it's team?? LOL Makes more sense to relate to certain players and their personalities than to communities you're not even a part of.

Yusuf Sanad you’re making the same mistake as fake rob lowe here. You fail to realize that without a second all star in the playoffs lebron got no chance anyway. So why not offer cousins 5 or even 10M on a 1 year contract. If he isn’t the same guy come playoffs then you haven’t lost anything cause you were gonna lose anyway. Next year he’s released and lakers can pursue whoever. But if cousins is back 100% come playoffs then lakers could have made a push for a championship this year. Magic Johnson and fake rob lowe gat exposed this offseason.

Rajon disappears, in the game.....Lance gets foul trouble.... JaVale was valuable to the Warriors because of other superstars on the team!
