went to my first ever ahl game last month back on the 14th; saw these guys play the condors up in bakersfield, and even tho they got shut out, it was still awesome to watch. the atmosphere at that game was incredible too; you walk in and it doesn't really feel like you're about to watch players who're only one step down from the nhl, but the crowd almost felt louder and more enthusiastic than any nhl crowd i've been a part of. plus it was so cool to see all these socal hockey fans cheering on socal hockey teams, esp. these minor league teams. really gives one hope for all the little kids who play out here, and the teenagers too, playing in the kings' new high school hockey league. b/c idk about you guys, but i'd love to see more socal natives playing in the nhl.

Go Reign Go. I live 10 minutes from Citizens business bank arena. and it's good to have an American hockey league team that's affiliated with the kings locally. IE baby !!!!!

I'm a Ducks fan but live out in the IE 10 minutes from Citizens Business Bank..can't tell you a better Friday night plan than grabbing a beer and watching the minor leaguers beat the cramp out of eachother (other than watching an NHL game at Honda Center)

The move for the Reign to the AHL was a good thing overall for the organization. I just miss the blue and orange jerseys. To me, the Reign lost it's personality. They don't really look all that different from the Kings. Why watch the Reign when they're just the mini-Kings now?
