Hi Ankita! Have been to both places, it's hard to compare as Maldives is superior in hospitality but comes at 4-5 times the cost. Talking about the lagoons, it's almost same. Maldives has slightly better water clarity. If you don't want to spend as much, Lakshadweep is perfect. 😊

Do we need any permission to carry or Fly a drone in Lakshadweep?

Depends on which drone u are carrying. In my case, I carried a DJI Mini 2 which is in the Nano catagory. I carried the batteries and the remote in Hand Baggage and put the drone(without battery) in check in luggage. Worked perfectly fine. Talking about flying, no particular permission required at Bangaram island or near Beaches. As along u respect the privacy and security of locals and authorities, there is no issue in carrying and flying
