You should be using your skills to help better your community. A lot of people are in these organizations for the wrong reasons. They turn away the good people who want to join these D9 organizations for the right reasons because they actually want to make a difference in their communities. Just my two cents looking from the outside....

This is heavy. I had a chance to pledge Omega in college. Two of my close relatives were old school Ques. I wanted it bad, but when the time came (Ques were off the yard for hazing), I was a senior with a 3.8 GPA, and I promised myself that I'd finish my Spring semester with a 4.0 to boost that up. I had a choice to make, pledge (they were on line from the Fall to the Spring),nl or maintain. I chose not to pledge. I'm glad I didn't. I still feel that urge sometimes, but this video confirms that I need to stand pat and not give in to that emotional desire. Thanks to Brother Pierre for sharing this. I denounced Delta a few weeks ago on 11/15/23 after about 4.5 years. It’s been such a relief. I felt convicted from day one. Pierre touched on so many things that I identified with; That song, “All of My Love…”, dreams about dead people, and Omega Omega are the main three that stood out in your testimony. I am a former pastor’s wife. My Ex is OPP. Completely sold. He’s even the chaplain life the chapter and the NBA.WAY too much to write in this little chat box. Been watching these for days because my little sister just pledged DST. My spirit is GRIEVED for her. Im praying for her daily for her eyes to be opened. I appreciate the part where he said he couldn’t marry his wife with the stronghold of Omega because his affections would be divided. This preached to me because I have many family members in this fraternity and all of their marriages are PLAGUED with divorce, infidelity, and abuse. It’s so sad to watch and NOT a coincidence. I’m from Detroit and went to UT as well. I remember the Ques being suspended during my years and there were only 3 of them(he’s definitely not kidding about the biggest line). Back then Black orgs were on campus but not as prominent as the PW orgs. Ultimately this played in my decision to not go pledge there. My mother also, was not supportive and she would say…” why pay for something that God and I gave you for free?…you already have sisters and you’re #3…there’s your line.” Up until today it’s always been a bittersweet feeling but I am thankful for the testimonies I’ve heard on your channel.

Bruh, I preciate your honesty and integrity to the most high. I pledged as well but line got dropped and that was divine protection from God Himself. Same frat as you and I'd love to have more convo just as yourself. Those sets were real fam. The enemy is busy trying to deceive that its ok to pledge. My line got dropped in '97 and suspended til '02. Why would ppl sacrifice their lives in secretly and have problems worshipping God publicly. And then they say "am i worthy?" True, but in their defense, they might be afraid of what their former line brothers and sisters might do to them. Much like a women who has been freed from an abusive relationship with a spouse. ALSO, their experiences were traumatic and it might be difficult for them to speak on it in these types of forums. For example, I heard one former Alpha tell about his prophytes being sexually abusive to the men on line. That's very hard to revisit.

I didn’t know how much I needed this series! I have never been in a sorority but have desired to be for years!!!! I graduated from an HBCU in 2004 & wasn’t able to pledge during that time. Periodically since then I have attempted to join but it’s like it has been SO hard. I see now that it was GOD slamming the door shut because I was clueless to what these organizations truly stood for. Thank you for the revelation. I went through the invite meeting and interview process when I was in college for Delta. I didn’t get picked and after I graduated college and thought about doing grad chapter I did more research on the divine 9 and starting watching videos of ppl denouncing. I’m glad I didn’t get picked but even going to the invite meeting in college the atmosphere just felt weird. I didn’t understand why then, but I do now.

One of my cousins who is married into our family is an AKA with teenage girls. We were talking about college stuff and things the girl would be involved in a few years. She told me well I know the girl will be great college students but they already know they will be Legacy AKA. She also said AKA has done a lot for her over the years and the girls don’t have a choice. Well her and my male cousin disagree on this discussion but it was so interesting to just hear such a strong stance about Greek sorority. Some people have very strong emotions when it comes to Greek life.

Hi Lala, thank you for doing this series. When I was considering my participation in greek life early in my undergrad journey, I was looking for more resources like these that told the truth about how God really feels about greek life to help me in going about my decision. Unfortunately there weren't many, so I had to trust God to show me in his own way. Pastor Fred Price Jr was the only one I saw do a 2 part sermon about this. Search youtube putting his name, it's title Idoltry in Greek Fraternities and Sororities. He is the only mega churcb pastor I have seen who throughly breaks it'd down. At the end he calls those who wanted to denounce up. I am apart of a mega church in Dallas to a well known pastor who I wonder why he has not taught it. I believe one of his children was apart of the AKA but I believe she has nothing to do with it now. I have never heard her speak about being a member. It would break my heart if she still were apart of it. People need to be free of this stuff.

There are many people that experienced demonic attacks while being in these orgs (there are people still in these orgs that are experiencing it as well). I know one specifically that experienced sleep paralysis and demons attacked her just about every night. After she denounced, the Lord revealed the demons were attacking her because of the Greek organization.

I've been saying this for years " regarding pastors and ministers ( men and women of God ) that are part of these organizations are afraid and not stepping up to the plate and speaking God's truth; speaking against it. Why is this?
