#9 Really experienced this on my last cruise. We saved up 2 yrs to go in a suite for the 1st time. When talking to a couple in the suite dining room Luminae, and telling them this was our once in a lifetime, be treated like a princess cruise, they looked at us differently and actually avoided us from then on. Sorry I'm not a phony, I'm not ashamed to say that I had to save a long time for this cruise and NO ONE was going to spoil it for me. I made a point of going over and saying hi to them whenever I saw them. I'm with you Tony, I really dislike snobs!

Man, Mr Barnette one cruise I stood in the embarkation line 2 whole hours dragging my luggage behind me . I'm old . It almost killed me. I told myself never again ! So I got myself a rollator Walker and now I swing by the line thru handicapped with assistance !!

I guess I have been lucky I have never been approached on NCL asking to upgrade drink pkgs and dining. I have gotten emails a week or so before we were to leave asking if we wanted to upgrade. But I totally agree with you. You are there to relax and enjoy yourself

I watched all of the video. I agree with the person who said kids run everywhere with no adults supervision. We are in our 70’s and we are afraid we will get pushed down. I now use my walker so they run into it and I am still steady. We love cruising but we don’t mind the lines we feel great just being on a cruise. We don’t mind being asked about drink pkg we just say NO

I made it passed 15 minutes, in fact I not only made it to the end but really enjoyed it. I agree with so many points. The nickel and dime stuff was interesting . We have now been on 2 royal Caribbean cruises and spent literally nothing. First cruise we pre paid gratuities and key , took on our wine and water allocation and had a final bill of $26 . This New Years cruise we didn’t even have internet . Just took on our wine and water . Final bill was for a photo and gratuities so was around $200 . I think assuming you are not really a drinker you can spend as little or as much as you like, it’s the drinks that really seem to sting people. keep bringing in the videos. Love them. Next cruise is another royal . Boston and Canada in the summer.

I made it to the end and agree with all the points you made. I always felt like I was in a cattle herd for muster drill. I am glad most aren’t held outside anymore. They’d have you standing there in the heat for 30-45 minutes waiting to “show” you how to wear the life jacket for 5 mins.

Cabin size - well, I’ve sailed in regular rooms and I’m a big girl. I’ve done Carnival, RCCL and Celebrity and I’ve had no issues. That being said, GIVE ME A BIGGER SHOWER OMG!

I am a medical aesthecian. When I see they offer chemical peels and microdermabrasions in their spa I cringe. Also Botox and filler injections. So dangerous 😫

Good for you Tony! My husband was watching tv when I started watching this video and he then kept chiming in and vociferously agreeing with everything you were saying Tony. I do too! I think maybe you could have used a good pair of mittens during your video, but since you're moving to Florida, hopefully those moments will be few and far between from now on! I made it past 15:00. When my wife and I go on cruises, we buy a mixed drink at sail away, then drink water, lemonade, coffee, tea, and other included drinks at meals. Up early each day, watch the sunrise with no hangover, hit the gym maybe, and get ready for excursions or activities.

There, I made it to the end - I agree with most of what you were talking about, and the snobby trolls on the internet ARE the worse - wasting food drives me nuts, leaving a pile of food and dishes in the hallway is gross - you did seem a little stressed out today, but the topic wasn't something to make you smile - the arguments over gratuities are ridiculous, pay them or don't but don't criticize someone else for the way they do their cruise - the alcohol package doesn't bother me, I don't drink - I like the Bubbles package, but I still bring a 12-pack of my A&W Diet Root Beer because they don't have it on the ships, but I don't throw a hissy fit about it either - but the thing I agree with the most is the in-your-face trying to sell you something on embarkation - I'm confused enough with the noise of the crowd, let me get my bearings first! Really liked this video

Tony You Nailed the top 10. One to add is the high prices of excursions and the short time you have in port to learn the area. We look for local museums to really get the feel of the culture. Like you said there may be 10-15 things you don’t like, but they are overshadowed by the 100s of things we love about cruising . You owe me a comment

Watched the entire video. One thing that is so true is no vacation is perfect. You hit some of the topics that people just don’t talk about with cruising that is very valid. Anyone who says the process of getting on/off the ship is not stressful is telling a lie. Been cruising for 10+ years, overall I still enjoy being on a cruise ship but there has been many changes that I have seen during this time ( good and bad). This video said everything I wanted to say! I have also been cruising for a long time. I have cruised on Carnival, RCCL, and NCL. There are things I like and dislike about each one. I remember going onboard my first NCL cruise and they gave out glasses of champagne and orange juice as you came aboard. Now they want to charge you for EVERYTHING!I The syrup for soda is pennies on the dollar, but they want you to buy a soda package. I sidestep the photo at embarkation. I rebuff all photo intrusions at dinner and when disembarking for a port visit. I treat my room steward well, even when I have been ignored by them for the majority of the cruise. When asked about cruising, I give my honest opinion: it's not for everyone, and you need to find the cruise line that does what you like the best and stick with them.

Yes. Sadly a child died on one of the cruises we were on in the past. The girl was leaning over the rail and fell. It was horrible. I know accidents happen but too often I see children running wild and parents don't tell them to stop running around and climbing on things and to just behave. 😔

Sadly, I blame the parents. I went on a NCL cruise last summer; two kids had to be airlifted to the hospital by the Coast Guard because they were playing on a climbing wall. The cruise literally offered childcare sixteen hours a day included in the cost of every cabin. All the parents need to do is drop off their children at the childcare center with staff whose job is to run activities catered to age groups ranging for 0 to 17.

I like them too. For two of the points you made, they have bigger cabins (I’m also “fluffy” and thought the inside cabin was ok for 4) they include soda in the cruise fare and you can bring some alcohol.

You could provide positive points from Carnival, RCCL, MSC (USA), NCL.....most of my cruises were on US Navy ships (20+ years sea duty). So all I need is a cot and C-rations, MRE😄

Standing on the foredeck at night with the breeze on your face, no one else around, watching the moonlight dancing on the waves, as the ship takes you to places you've never been.... priceless!
