This is the kind of story that requires time for establishing and setting the phase, its well done and above par perfectly set in the first half for the protagonist, the villian arc needed time and set pieces to showcase the power of Anthony das & co which is lacking in the film lokesh might have opted the conflict to be conveyed shortly in the second half due to time constraints which doesn't leave any impact on us and the story again switch to the current time and the narrative urges to the climax. There was a lot of potential for the story to have part 2 if the Anthony das & co flash back treated with powerful scenes and the betrayal would have impacted the audience at the end of part 1, now the villian really knows the existence of leo and the real war begins now in the part 2 !

When Parthi decided to adopt Hyena, he took take them to that place where hyena was there and then he asked them to suggest some names for Hyena Parthi's son suggests GHOST and his daughter suggests Elisa but Parthi decided to keep it as Subramani . How did the kids know about Elisa and GHOST? If I am right I remember he used to tell bed time Stories to his kid, Loki cleverly written this scene and he had given a hint to us. The scene was Parthi explaining about the story of psycho killer and a policeman. So Likewise he might have told them about GHOST and Elisa as a bed time story, those names stamped in their mind and they called out during Hyena adoption scene. So Leo knows about GHOST even before GHOST(Vikram) climax Phone conversation scene. When Vikram calls Parthi he will say Hi Leo (not Parthi) Yarru endru Therigiradha ? If Parthi and Leo arent the same person, this movie could've been much better. Because since they are the same person, the emotional scene has become gaslighting scene. The family man's pure struggle to save his family has become fake. Yet the 2nd half flashback and LCU connect was a major drawback. And why leo didnt go and revenge for his sister's death right away? Why putting up a drama saying hes not leo and pretending to stay away yet he knows one day he will be recognised by Das gang? Wtf is this narabali concept? First half was insanely good. Sandy and mysskin should have been throughout the film. Hope Lokesh can redeem himself in the next thalaivar film.

That gaslighting is the character of leo/parthi...for him he just wants his family...he has his issues...he has been a ruthless killer....but he just needs the family as of now and will go to any length...any...for that and for the second question why leo didnt take revenge: he was hurt with two bullets dude....and don't think it would have been ideal even if he took the revenge...he does make a promise to his sister to leave all this and doesn't want revenge....he is just fed up...even in the ultimatum he wants them to leave him alone but they dont Narabali concept was really interesting ....mostly gangstars do follow occult practices but the way lokesh showed only those and didn't show proper depth to the character it didnt click that much

In Vikram, fahad ll be displaying those backstory slides to police officers. But in LEO, the plot is one faking as another. No other director would have wanted to reveal an serious matter thro' mansoor ali khan. Lokesh would naver ever do thro' mansoor for sure .Mansoor is not even evidently audiable in most part of narration. something happened in the making or there should be some easter egg references hidden to be revealed in upcoming lokesh LCU movies or thro' interviews. We cant satisfy these mighty expectations what so ever. Think If its kaithi as leo or vikram as leo taking away rolex and agent tina. The critics and fans would still troll the film. One thing I want to convey to all the movie buffs.. This is a good entertainer and i also accept the fact that second half is a bit lag and forced for LCU... But in my opinion, the last voice over for the LCU by kamal sir is to have a guy in the black squad who knows the in detail indepth of the drug usage and the ground root,, Which might be helpfull for him to crash down everything.... The flashback is just the bit, I think in the upcoming it will be known how is was a badass... The next thing the napolean, he was known in that character which he got the worthness of officer.... The movie was amazing, there’s no need for Lcu imo. The movie was filled with superb action sequences and Vijay’s expressions were incredible to watch. I agree the flashback was quite foolish and silly in a way but naa ready song was quite catchy and the choreography for the song was nice. Overall a good movie with scenes that could have been improved especially the backstory of Leo.

PICTURE YOURSELF ….. The negative reviews say that the Villains are not powerful. That's the same question Lokesh brings up in the movie, which is Villain Yaaru da? The Villain is Leo Dass and the hero is also Parthiban. The rest of the characters are just supporting characters only. Even Sanjay Dutt is not a bad person compared to Leo. He saves Leo when everyone decides to kill him. He saves Leo's family from the serial killer villains. He never came to the cafe to kill Leo, he came to ask for his son. He acts according to his beliefs and that doesn't make him a bad person. There's a scene in a cafe when Leo and Anthony meet up at the cafe. Behind Anthony's head there will portray an angel wings symbol while behind Leo will be a sharp evil crown. Even Harold Dass respects his brother Anthony's decision, which is to sacrifice either Leo or his sister and he decides not to hurt a girl and chooses Leo. It shows his respect for his brother(Anthony's decision) and Harold never breaks the rules of killing them. Harold will kill Leo's sister only when Leo burns all the products of Dass & Co. Everything that Anthony and Harold want is to bring Leo back and build the empire he destroyed. That is why they actually celebrated by lifting Leo's picture when they confirmed that it is Leo. After all, family's love never fails all the years. (Peaky Blinders). Lokesh concludes to us that Leo is the Villain when Leo tells the audience that he has nothing good to say about his past, since he never did anything good. Not only that, he will also kill anyone who comes in his way to identify him as Leo Dass in the future. And the flashbacks are full made-ups we dont know exactly who the real Leo is. Don’t believe? As of my point of view Lokesh Kanagaraj has brilliantly mocked up each and every audience who watched leo by not much showing the real face of Leo in the past. As he said before watch this film twice. For the initial viewers everyone will consider the calm and quiet character of Vijay and see everything through his perspective. But when we watch it second time then we will see through only Leo’s perspective and everyone will feel it like a good movie. Amazing script writing. No words to describe it. Lokesh has dropped so much of dots in the film that is yet to be connected. I think he is not as much bad as to cast big stars like #Arjun & #SanjayDutt and easily drag them out from the film without so much of screen space. I think this is the start of something big. The hidden mystery behind leo is still yet to find out and I am sure that Antony Das & Harold Das will return back in the coming movies. Waiting for Loki to reveal the secret behind #Leo

I think ppl are over reacting due to the pre release hype for the movie. Could second half n particularly flash back been written better? - Yes Was Leo as a whole movie a disaster like Varisu or Beast? - Nope Is Leo Vijay’s best movie as an actor in a long long time? - HUGE YESSS Beast, Jailer, Thunivu, Varisu, PS 1, PS 2, Leo - among these recent big star movies if u were to pick top 2 what would it be? For me it will be PS1 followed by Leo. So to summarise, Leo may not be Loki’s best movie yet.. but it’s still better than most of the other big budget movies Kollywood has to offer. Leo as a movie is 3/5 Leo for Vijay’s acting is 5/5 Leo for Loki’s writing would be 2.5/5 Once the hype dies down, ppl will credit Leo more than now. PS: I’m an Ajith fan.

too many cooks spolied the food. lokesh should stop working with actors like vijay and producers like 7screen who no matter what will eventually interfere and spoil the whole thing. lokesh saying its a 100% his film is a complete lie and this interview is a proof. in many interviews lokesh has said he does not like ropes being used in action scenes. the leo das intro scene has ropes used which makes it really clear that the directors vision was not honored or some one else shot portions of the movie.

I am not a thalapathy fan or any sort of fan boy. But I am feeling that tamil film spectators should have more focus toward a film which comes under a UNIVERSE. As far as I see the reviews of the film I see people saying that the second leg of the film is lagging. But spectators should understand that the story in the second leg is a narrated story and which can be a FALSE STATEMENT. A protagonist "Who can fake their own deaths" can easily lie about the stories. So I feel that the second half of the film can be a complete FALSE STATEMENT because most part of the second half is narrated by actor Mansoor Ali khan. Moreover, deaths of most of the villains are not shown. If then, this will be a SPECIAL PHENOMENON in the tamil film industry where the second half of the film is a LIE. So I should say that even though the tamil film industry is booming BUT most of the tamil audience are NOT READY/ NOT FAMILIAR with universe movies. Also, in the potion where Anurag Kashyap's scene most of the "HIGH END PRO REVIEWERS" said it was a waste of production to have Anurag Kashyap featured, BUT they forgot that "its a universe and every character might have their stories". Here we can say that the spotted hyena can be a imported species from africa because a hyena will not be tamed in FEW DAYS to any humans. Even though in this film they have showed it was tamed in few days. So there MIGHT BE a big chance that the hyena is ALREADY tamed and the movie is just a part of it. Peace!

Leo das character is example of usual vijay movie character and flashback story is too weak and crinch. Decoders and film crew member are saying maybe flashback is fake may be like that. Vijay loves his fans and he is thinking they want see usual Vijay gimmicks in every movie may be he interrupt in story like Lalit is saying. Lokesh shud have just announced that he is working with Mr.Superman Thalapathi Vijay and produced by his proxy, Lalit, Thus no other actors will be given meaty roles (except females) and none of his villains will thrash him up cuz ANNA lives in that bubble called NEXT CM. Lokesh shud have just brought this whole LCU thingy to RKFI and SR Prabu only and the rest would have taken shape well.. His fans started screaming LCU since the day the poster was released, he shud have just announced there is NO ROLEX, NO RAMCHARAN and NO DHANUSH for fuk sakes... he instead, milked his fans for the hype and made a fucking mediocore film,... we just got fooled by LOKI the flashback with dsouza was a lie, in all three shirtless scenes no bullet wound , whereas hyena wound was there in ps. Regarding dsouza saying he can look at his eyes and say if he is Leo or not obvi he lied to protect parthi. It is not forced lcu as vikram sends her to sniff on parthi and vikram asks in the end “yaaru endru Terigiratha” which means I hope u know who I am. Meaning Leo knows vikram already.
