तिरुअनंतपुरम में प्रसिद्ध अट्टूकल भगवती मंदिर है। जहां पर दसों लाख महिलाओं द्वारा पूजा किया जाना, गिनीज़ बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड्स में शामिल है। मुझे तो तब बहुत आश्चर्य हुआ जब अल्पुझा से हम लोगों ने बैक वाटर का आनंद लेने के लिए बोटिंग किया और उसमे रात्रि विश्राम के दौरान घूमते वक्त गांव में मां काली की पूजा हो रही थी और इस पूजा में उत्तर भारत की तरह महिलाए कड़ाही चढ़ा (मिट्टी के बर्तन में पूड़ी हलुआ इत्यादि बना कर देवी को अर्पित करना) रहीं थीं। मां काली के दर्शन हम पुरुषों द्वारा अपने ऊपर के वस्त्र उतारने के बाद ही करने दिए गए।

I am from Uttarakhand and here almost every place is related to DEVI. Maa Surkanda, Ma Jhali DEvi, Maa Dhari Devi, Maa CHandrabadani, Maa Kalimath ki Kali(The PLPace where Maa Kali was Born). A lot of places are here in Uttarakhand. We have a place called Srinagar where Aadi Guru Shankaracharya first created DEVI KSHAMA STROT( Na Mantram No Yantram). Anumpama maam said well almost full INDIA is place of DEVI or I think we can say BODY of Maa SATI. Thank you @HyperQuest for such great talks. Soundaraya laheri and lalita sahasranama are the one which is common in south indian houses .. People do relate it with as sri mata lalitha is the creator of the bramhanda.. Though i. Follow bhagwan vishnu and he is parabramha but the way lalitha sahasrnama is written and bhagwan hygriva is the one who narrates whole of this and this is how its has come to the world.

while chanting the stotras, we should concentrate on each word, so that we understand the qualities it represents. And then by the blessings of Paramatma you realize that, the devi herself is very much working in her sagun roop through all of us! All the women that we see around us, possess these very same qualities, but we fail to see the divinity in them! You then understand that everyone who feeds us, cooks for us, are our 'ANNAPURNA DEVI ! The women who work honestly in these security forces with great might and courage, ARE 'DURGA SHAKTI'. The ones who work selflessly, striving for the betterment of her workplace, completely devoted to her work, ISN'T THAT THE 'RADHA SHAKTI' ? Talking about Sri Lalita Sahasranama, firstly, AREN'T ALL THE MOTHERS 'SRI MATA' ? Because all women have within them the motherly qualities and capabilities of nurturing literally anyone! All those women who face so many hardships to take care of their families, we should understand, all representative of the divine quality - 'CHIDAGNIKUND SAMBHUTA.' Any woman that we see whose 'MIND, BODY & INTELLIGENCE ' is purified, that herself is 'TRIPUR SUNDARI' But it's our folly, that we bow down with folded hands in front of a murti made by us humans, but fail to see the REAL DEVI SHAKTI around us, the murti which is made by that Paramatma Shakti itself ! We look at those women, be it someone in your house or your helper or anyone, with inferiority ! We don't see the divinity in them, but instead look at them with vaasna (lust) ! Please understand, the Devi that we see in any photo, does she look any different from a woman standing next to you? There itself we must understand that it is just this Paramatma shakti and nothing else who is working through all of us and you will understand that, by whatever name you call it, be it Devi or Ganpati or Hanumanji, these are not some mystical super human deities which we need to attain, but are very much around us, at all times, in their sagun roop, which we need to recognise! Just like in Srimad Bhagwad Gita, Sri Krishna says- ईश्वर: सर्वभूतानां हृद्देशेऽर्जुन तिष्ठति | भ्रामयन्सर्वभूतानि यन्त्रारूढानि मायया ||18.61 - dwelling in the very heart of all beings, he himself directs us in certain particular ways to act, i.e., everyone around us are all working on and because of his shakti and thus represents those very qualities. I think since we are increasingly adopting Western culture and Lifestyle, we have started seeing life only for its physicality and not Spiritually. That is why such Dushkarms are increasing around us, for which both Men and Women are responsible for not being responsible towards others. Slogans like We only live once so live life to the fullest, I Me Myself etc are promoting only Consumerism in people nothing else. Quality of life is defined by How Well and How Much you are consuming. Sadness, Frustration, Depression is associated with one not having enough money to consume the material pleasures around them. Being a slave of Lust and Greed is a cool thing, as that is how one thinks they can live a good rewarding life. Individualism is fashionable and progressive now, being responsible is uncool.
