I love how this dear Lama Yeshe is so easy going, but yes I do find the music (and especially the dancing in the end) quite inappropriate for this occasion.

You can relax about Buddhism, lamas, and dancing. For hundreds of years, yogis have had slightly drunken, uproarious, wonderful, joyous parties and dancing with their students. Such happy energy is said to bond the students together in such a way that the lineages last for hundreds and thousands of years. Never trust a man who can't dance! Or a God either, for that matter! Jesus drank wine at weddings and danced and sang, and so did the Prophet Mohammed. The Buddha also danced when a young man, and was skilled in several musical instruments, so there is no need to get all sanctimonious and restrained just because the lamas are around. When its time to party, party on! "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven." Even the very British and seriously, restrained Alan Watts used to get drunk with his graduate students and have pissing contests out in the backyard to see who could piss higher and farther up a barn wall!! LOL! Enjoy!

Wow:) . Coming back to ,,serious stuff,, one brilliant teaching given by Lama Yeshe was his observation that his young West students have problem with feeling of be inadequate ! ( today called , fitting in,, ) . As remedy Lama Yeshe recommended Vajrapani practice. Interestingly, in 90 ties , during psychology conference Dalai Lama was somehow shocked to learn from prominent West psychologists that West people have wide spreaded problem called ,, I am not good enough,, . So Lama Yeshe had amazing insight into West minds without help of West psychologists. Concerning Dalai Lama respond he gave advice to contemplate inborn , perfect Buddha nature every being posses and this way overcome mental pattern : I am not good enough. Probably the pattern comes from Christian doctrine of original sin. Hope you have good life and progressing on way to Enlightenment . All best.
