Probably "height: 100%" won`t work to expand divs to the screen height just because of that you don`t give 100% to your html like "html { height: 100%; }" A newer approach would be to directly write the height as '100vh;' in CSS, so you don't need to add anything to the HTML.

In your browser console check if it is throwing any error? two things can happen, 1st CDN link is not correct or 2ndly some icons on font awesome are paid. double check your CDN or you can create and download their CSS package and add its link to your html. Hope this will help.
