What exactly did Bill Polian say that was so awful? He talked about his slight frame which is a real cause of concern. I still wince every time he gets hit. He also mentioned the wrong coaches retarding his development. Well, the Ravens canned Mornhinweg who was using him in bs packages with Flacco, got rid of Flacco and promoted Greg Roman who has played to his strengths. So I think all of them were pretty on point.

@kaboo2009
@kaboo2009 4 жыл бұрын
HemanParkFilms I’m concerned about all hits to all players. I played 7 seasons in the NFL. I was a linebacker. Although I didn’t suffer any significant injuries from delivering the hits. But those hit tallied up and I noticed the cumulative affect of those hits over time. Look at Big Ben and Cam Newton. Both plus 250lbs
@HemanParkFilms
@HemanParkFilms 4 жыл бұрын
@@kaboo2009 Let me rephrase. I get concerned for player safety. What I meant is that I wasn't so concerned about Lamar getting hurt running, anymore than QB's who aren't mobile because they take more punishment to me. Cam tried to run people over. Big Ben stayed in the pocket too long.
@kaboo2009
@kaboo2009 4 жыл бұрын
HemanParkFilms This is all I’m trying to convey, No matter what size the QB, his style so far as staying in the pocket or dual threat. ALL QB’S GET INJURED! It’s a physical sport. But when a player like Lamar have significant more rushing attempts and out the pocket where QB not protected and now is a runner. The % drastically goes up for injury. QB’s get hurt all the time with non contact injuries I.e. Bridgewatter, Big Ben & Garoppalo.

Lamar Jackson should consider to switching to WR, after Bill Polian recommends Josh Allen switch to TE. Oh wait, Bill Polian is NOT recommending Josh Allen switch to TE... Then NEITHER should Lamar Jackson or ANYBODY else suggest he should be a WR. The 2016 HEISMAN WINNER should compete for QB. And he should do well in a play action, option, run-pass-option heavy type NFL offense.

What confuses me is Polian says he's troubled by the slight frame of Jackson as a QB but doesnt see that being a problem if he switched to WR, where DBs, Safeties, and LBs can get a full head of steam shot on him? Like how does that make since? Polian only has 1 Super Bowl win as a GM, how does that equate to him being some great evaluator of talent? Peyton Manning's success is what makes Polian get so much credit, but without him, he's the guy who built a 4 time straight losing Bills team! Not to mention, drafting Jim Kelly instead of Dan Marino who is better

Same, also notice they didn't want Trevor Lawance to switch to WR at 213 pounds, the same as Jackson but 3 1/2 inches taller. Bill said 213 was too small for a mobile QB. Trevor a few years later weighed exactly the same no talk about being too small. They praise INT prone Josh Allen when he scrambles, but trip about Jackson not reading defenses when he does it.

These NFL dinosaurs know that the game is changing, a more mobile quarterback is needed in the league, because they have change all the rules that they could for the pocket passer, without realizing mobile quarterbacks benefit from those same rules. And mobile quarterbacks are shining and winning. They knew that Lamar Jackson was going to open a door that not even Michael Vick could. And once this door is open there's no turning back. Everyone will desire a mobile Passer regardless of what color he is. The NFL gave the desired specs on the prototype pocket passer quarterback, to keep that position white. When the early NFl had white quarterbacks running all the time until I believe the Red Grange era , when he became the first prolific pocket passer. Which

If you watched him in college you can see he played with inferior talent and won if Baker mayfield or any qc drafted ahead played at Louisville you would’ve never heard of him on a national level

Why wouldn’t all teams structure their offense around what a QB does best? I know that’s a simplistic statement, but I don’t think enough teams even try.

They do for some not for all. Reality is the team your on and the coaching situation you have is often more to as important as the product on the field.

They knew Lamar Jackson has and possess Greatness!! They tried to get into his head. And he wasn't having none of it! They knew this! They want certain positions to be sysmaticly owned by certain faces!! Hello! I wish they had a NBL league! NBL= National Black League!! I guarantee they would dominate the game we know as Football!! They know this Man!!! They know if a Black man owned a NFL team! Or League! They would be thru dealing! They know this! And it's coming!

Why the hell did they bring up cam. Until last year he only missed three games. And if you look at the last two years the shoulder injury was caused by throwing and the foot was hurt by trying to elude defenders in a pocket. We all get it, these guys need to push a narrative but everyone is hip to it now and is not buying their bullshit.

Name a QB that doesn't need lots of work in transitioning to the pro game................... exactly, now shut the fuck up. These talking heads over-analyze the shit out of EVERYTHING and they create a narrative that plays out in the draft. It's a damn shame, but for teams like the Ravens who are smart enough to say "fuck that, this dude is dynamite," the false narrative is a great thing.

Amazing that none of these guys had to pay in their careers for being so wrong about Lamar Jackson. So unbelievably and unfathomably wrong. If he wins a Super Bowl I’m dead serious why aren’t Louis Riddick and all these other Lamar Jackson hater analysts fired? There’s a million guys who could do their jobs
