Love how once Chino's singing kicks in, it's amazingly a seamless transition from the traditional Lamb of God style to the more Melodic Deftones sound. A band has to have a lot of talent to pull that off right.

This is unquestionably one of my favorites by LoG. The outro with Chino's melancholy melodic clean singing combined with Randy's brutal and angry screaming is the perfect representation of the contrast in emotions that capture the tragedy that this song was born out of. Such a horribly sad meaning, but damn... it's an absolute gem of a track 🤘🏻🔥

Man the story behind the song, Mark's loss of his child, falling in a drug addiction, still having to turn up on the stage for fans like us to have enjoyment, the trauma and everything he went through is bone-chilling, recently Ronaldo also went through the same thing, while I am not a parent yet, but I did lose someone really close to me in my formative years and it did alter my life and felt like "The day we lost what we both should have been" Even after all these years, when I have thoughts about that incident and feel alone... This song comforts me. What a masterpiece, although no masterpiece is worth the loss that is the driving force behind it.

Most of the lyrics is written by Mark, and the outro that Chino sings is written by Randy. Mark recently opened up about the child loss the couple suffered and told that this song is about the pain and suffering they had to go through. Hint in the video: The cradle or crib goes flying out when the house explodes at about 2:29
