This Lamb's Ear Christmas Ornament is a wonderful way to bring the garden inside for the holiday season. All you'll need is lamb's ear leaves, a Styrofoam ball, a glue gun, and some ribbon.

I've been working on adding more Lamb's Ears to my garden--at first they were sweet reminders of raising sheep (we used to live in Northern Michigan where I had a spinner's flock for spinning my own wool). But now I'd like to grow more to make some of these. I just love natural ornaments I can make from my gardens and my kitchen.

Lol!!! I’m so happy I watched your Ways to Grow Paperwhites video!!! You talked about these ornaments said they still look beautiful, so here I am!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for this tutorial!! I fell in love with a 4 set of these but they were close to $40.00… I just…couldn’t do it though. They were priced too high? Or I’m too cheap? A little of both? NOW I can make all I could ever want for pennie’s!!!! Thank you!!! Merry Christmas y’all!!!!

My grandma, my mom and I made these exact ornaments over 20 years ago. But we made them with pins with white pearls. Sometimes four hands have not been enough to hold the whole ting and pin the needles in. We had so much fun, especially around Christmas. Thanks for reminding me of that, now I´m of to search the ornaments, I haven´t seen them in a very long time. Happy gardening, a very merry Christmas and stay safe, Hanni.

@NorthlawnFlowerFarm
@NorthlawnFlowerFarm 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Cynthia! Lambs ear can be grown in full sun to part shade. It does require well draining soil. If your losing it after planting my best guess is it may be in soil that does not drain fast enough. Perhaps try it in a area you know drains well, or in a planter if your soil stays wet.
