A functional interface is an interface that contains only one abstract method. For example, Runnable, Callable, Comparator, and custom functional interfaces annotated with @FunctionalInterface. In Java 8 some pre-defined functional interfaces were introduced. There are in the java.util.function package. o Predicate - use for conditional checks. Takes one parameter and returns a boolean o Function - use to get a return value of any type. Takes one parameter and returns a single value of any type o Consumer - use to pass an input but no return type. Takes one parameter but does not return anything o Supplier - use to provide a return value but does not take an input parameter How to use Runnable, Callable, Comparator functional interfaces? There are thousands of ways you can perform the same job but not possible to illustrate every possible way. You have to experiment. The teacher will teach up to the English Alphabet, forming words, forming sentences but not to write a whole book. It's our job if we are capable of that. I have been following him for some weeks. Really he(Pavan Sir) has top notch knowledge. He has been exploring in a beautiful way!
