In ruina? Ye, you have to read, then 40 minutes in you die to new mechanic that just was unlocked. Then you spend an hour remaking decks and try again. For some reason, ruina fans have rose-tinted glasses and remember only good thing from that game

That is already a more interactive gameplay than pressing winrate.

@@tmdiz4579 then just... Don't? Soloing the entire game with Gebura with Myongest and hauler or Nicolai's rapids isn't really fun either. Try building something, like, try to upkeep rupture, and suddenly game becomes a lot more involved. *And when it tries to become more difficult to force you to build somethin people complain because "my sinners are dying even though I won clashes, this is unfair!"*

People had to read alot in Ruina. I think the problem in Limbus is the fact the effects are written like a Magic the Gathering card effect this time around. Also before I forget I love Doncho so much, she's cute.

Sometimes I fight an abno I beat like 30 times and see "Conditions Unmet" in the passives, stellar game design. About offset it does jack on counters but it eats enemy dodges. So if you see a really bad dodge you can delete it with a trash defense skill. Good against Nelly since her dodge gives her an extra attack next turn for example.

@@LambdadeltaYT Not 100% sure about the speed but I think it matters. Make sure it says offset and not one-sided defense. Still most enemies are pretty slow (except those freaking envy pecca rolling 8 speed in MD).

22:12 offset makes the defensive skill not trigger. however, it only works on shield and evade, counter and clashable can't be offset as far as I know.

I think i was taking Ruina more seriously, so i read everything. Here i was reading at first, but these days it all boiled down to just win the clash and you are in the green. Then if you lose read. Also more punishment for not reading in Ruina and it is a more complex game in general vs Limbus.

As far as I remember it, reading in Ruina wasn't nearly as bad as it is in Limbus, as even though there was just as much, it was better paced out. Enemies (aside from Abnormalities) would only have a few passives, while the rest of the special abilities would be laid out on the cards themselves, meaning you only had to worry about reading them as they would come up. The reading felt more naturally ingrained into the gameplay, rather than as if you had to do your homework before each fight.
