1) I bought a set from my AM DBS but I did not install it yet. 2) here’s the big question, why does the factory not use it if it’s so good? 3) I’ve been into cars for years and there’s always a trade off, what is it here? Don’t tell me it’s cost, factory would use it on high end cars if that was it.

Probably the easiest way to look at this, is that there are all sorts of buyers out there with a range of preferences. Why doesn't the factory make all the cars the same colour if one colour is objectively 'better' than another? They are building a car to appeal to the largest possible number of buyers, and to comply with all sorts of different legislative branches that may require certain hood/bonnet heights, etc. They might lose buyers if the car was too low for a lot of people to get in and out of driveways, over speed bumps etc. Not everyone wants the same thing. And yes, cost may well be a factor. Our spring supplier makes both cold coiled and hot coiled tapered springs. Their productive capacity is 6x higher on cold coiled springs because the process is faster and much more highly automated. While you might say, well who cares if it's a 1/2 million dollar car, what's a couple hundred dollars more, but you have to apply that across all the parts & components in the vehicle. But the results speak for themselves. This car is 25mm lower, and our customer & friend Ben was immediately impressed with how much more comfortable the ride was on poor quality roads. That might not be what everyone is looking for, but it is for some!
