Lamborghini Murcielago lp640 Ownership Experience so far!

This is just a little description of what my journey has been like so far.
This model is a 2009 lp640 E-Gear transmission and I will do my best to describe how to increase the clutch life & save some cash!

I own a several Murcies - and that stuttering is not normal. It may be a Kevlar or after market clutch. Also, you need to let the electronics cycle before turning the key entirely over. Put it into accessories until the beeping stops and then turn it over. Lastly, downshifting does not negatively impact the clutch. Heavy traffic, hills, and driving in reverse are clutch killers.

Your just causing wear on the transmission when it’s stuttering like that. Check with the last owner what he did. Also check your transmission temperature when doing this

You need to have the PIR setting adjusted to get rid of the start stutter. The dealer or a good indy can do it. They have to hook up their computer. The immobilizer / MED unit has many settings to it. You can turn off the horn beeps for example. Last, going into neutral at a light relieves the pressure on the clutch throw out bearing.

I test drove an LP640 e-gear which had the stutter too. The salesman took it out back to the mechanic & 10 minutes later it was gone. I asked him what was done but he had a very thick accent & I couldn’t understand him. The Murci wouldn’t fit in my garage so I went with a Brabus C63.
