Thanks for the great tips! I won't be flying, but I'm going on my 1st cruise! I'm planning on taking Vivie, my reborn! However, I recently used my Berenger Lily to make a second body for her. That way, she will be easy to take apart, lighter weight, and she can go swimming! I weaved a regular shoelace thru her neck for easier access to reattach her head. I hope you get to go to Disney and/or Rose Doll show. If you go to Disney, PLEASE do a video! Thanks!

I would rather wear my reborn than stuff them in a carry on because I've had gate agents forget to return my carry on after I landed in my connection. I have major anxiety and am on the Autism spectrum. I just think that having my reborn with me is best.

I took mine on a plane for a trip cause of flying anxiety to Vegas last November. I explained it to the agent at the front desk, she loved that. At the line I explained to the agent, and I placed Edmund in the bucket for the extra and OMG the next agent almost panicked 🤣🤣🤣 I had to explain he was a doll and quickly pulled down the shirt. They did clip his zip ties off to check him quickly when I said he has glass beads inside (just his body, and they felt through the stuffing really quick and didn't pull anything out and scanned his limbs) and asked if I had extras which I did which had gone through the machine with him as well and after i went through the Xray machine they let me use a table to put him back together. One two asked to hold him and loved it. And no problem. When we went back home, I again put him through the xray machine with my stuff, they didn't take him apart, they scanned him and even clipped him in his carseat. I was polite and laughed a little and they did as well. It was early morning so it was good day.

I got my first reborn in October and use her for therapy purposes (status of my fertility is uncertain due to a surgery that was forced upon me at the age of 19. I'm 31 now.) Anyway, I usually fly out to Arkansas to see family over there and my concern is not with the TSA but with the airline. What could I say to them to avoid the possibility of my reborn being relegated to under the plane? I do have a baby carrier to make her look more realistic but I also have a car seat coming (I just need a stroller to attach it to for travel that won't break my Bank and my back 😂) obviously, I'm still new to this whole "reborn mommy" thing but I do belong to a couple of reborn groups on Facebook. Hope I didn't bore you to death with my babbling. I just wanted to share my thoughts. Have a good weekend!

I’m not sure what you could say mostly because I haven’t heard too many stories of them putting dolls under the plane. After the doll gets through tsa you can have it on the plane. The only way I could see them saying no is if someone was obnoxious with the doll by like blocking someone’s paid for seat with the doll or locking the doll inside the bathroom or something else frowned upon 😂

E cigs can be brought with you by carrying but only 100 ml of the juice can be in your carryon. Also do not use the e cig inside of the plane, most air ports have a place for you to use it

From what I know silicone is easier to take because TSA pays it very little mind. They care about vinyl reborns because the limbs and body are hollow and can be filled with anything. I’ve placed reborns down in the luggage they will open your luggage and inspect it but at least you don’t have to be there to watch. Good luck 💝

Also for your paint question as long as the doll is varnished it won’t take off the paint. But then again if the doll isn’t varnish just holding it can take off the paint 😬

in my opinion and i do realize this is 2 years old but i bring baby dolls and i put her on to x-ray i think it wojuold be easier because that way the tsa agents wont freak out about "baby in luggage"

Silicone and vinyl are 2 different materials like glass and plastic are different. Scammers like to use the phrase silicone vinyl especially with twin a to sell knock offs. Since I’m not sure what your doll is made of or what’s actually inside of it I’m not sure if a TSA agent would allow it to fly
