I haven’t watched basketball regularly since the 90s. Melo comes along, and between him and the Hornets commentators, I’m hooked again. I even subscribed to NBA league pass to watch the Hornets, and I’ve been glued to the tv for the playoffs this year. Talent wise, the NBA has a lot of young stars in the making and the future is looking very bright.

He is a excellent ball handler, great shooter from beyond the arc, rebounds and plays defense. He is very fundamental; his game has flashes of Magic Johnson, Anfernee Hardaway, Jason Kidd and Pete Maravich. He is a multitalented, multidemsional basketball player that can put up triple double numbers and in some cases he can be a quadruple threat. He is special.

Something I love about Lamelo is that I never expect what he’s going to do. He’s so unselfish with the ball and he’s the kind of player that makes his team sooo much better. He has this way of committing to a shot, making you think he’s going for it, only to do a no look pass or a behind the back lob, or just a backwards bounce pass it’s like no player on the court is off limits it’s like if you don’t guard everyone it’s an opportunity for lamelo. You just can’t slack with Lamelo on the court. Such a refreshing player. Excited to see this guy grow.

Mello reminds me of a rebirth of Reggie Miller but so much better. Way more aggressive in a passive type of way. Been following Mello since Sr year in high school and his growth has been fun to watch. I’m a fan and hope for the best for him.
