If you have one of these... highly recommend opening it up and making a backup image of the MicroSD card in the unit. The microsd they use fails after a few years (had mine 4ish years, failed after about 2 years use). Recovery from a failed microsd card is fiddly as you need to read the serial number off of the failed SD card (might not be possible) then find a copy of the full image on mega, but if you take a good backup of it before it fails, you don't suffer that pain. Do not expect support to be any good. When contacted about failures, they simply suggest buying another one.

@@lukasdca yep that's it. Just image the card and keep it safe. When it fails, you can restore it onto a fresh card. They're really good bits of kit, just prone to failure due to that sd card.

It does not make sense to compare this device to the Echo or Google home. You cannot put stuff like subscriber count on a Google Home or Echo.

I should add i paid £159.00 for it i think around the £70-£80 would be a far better price. I have it positioned on top of my sound bar under the tv on the wall with the sound output through it.

I bought it after a lot of do I don’t I Now I have it I’m sort of regretting it it’s well overpriced and some of the 3rd party apps don’t work I know that bit is not there fault but it just adds to a very overpriced item.

I tried the Divoom 64, but I honestly found it incredibly buggy and the app was horrible to the point I sent it back. The LaMetric, really is much nicer and not overloaded with crap. The only thing I do not like is it doesnt have USB C or Bluetooth and the price. I do wish it was more higher end quality material wise though. Very good review!
