IMO, he was NEVER doing the work. Remember in the early episodes Mel was so tired because she was working so hard? Remember he complained about her working ALL the time? She had to do the work bc he didn't do it. Remember that episode in the beginning, where he was MIA for hours, she was trying to contact him and he didn't answer. She asked him where he was and he said in meetings. She wasn't stupid if H&H business meetings as co owner she would know about it. He knew once they were divorced, she wouldn't be there to do ALL the work, he couldn't do it and he didn't WANT to do it. He just wanted to be over there slippin and sliddin with the sidepiece. The laziness is astounding. But he wanted part of Embrace bc he knew Mel was going to put her heart and soul in it and all he had to do was reap the profits. I am soo glad Mel got her name off that building business so that she is NOT involved in that lawsuit! IMO.

The sad part about Marty Mar is Mel tried to set him up to win like she helped Tisha and Marsau/Scholt! When Mel was contemplating her divorce, she stepped away from Holt&Holt so that Martell could get his ducks in order and learn the business himself so he could have something to fall back on post divorce. Mel told Martell she was about to pursue her dreams. He tried to force her to continue to finance he and his mistress. He didn't like the responsibility of being the CEO so he told her to dissolve the company. This Goofy was literally running around on camera saying he didn't want to start any new business ventures until the divorce was finalized because he didn't want Mel to get any of his money, but wanted 50% of Mel's? Remember when he tried to bring those products to MADDONI? Or when he was talking to his uncle? Lil Buddy really thought Mel was going to be his cash cow because they had "four kids together."

Martel never had a true understanding of the work ethic and intelligence it has taken for Melody to be a business success. He ignorantly figured if his wife could do it, he could really do it too instead of pretending. Now he is finding out to what degree he is really not that guy. Melody made him look so good. He started believing the lie, too. Failing to recognize his new reality is going to land Martel in prison imo. He can not hide behind Melody any longer to hide or cover for a lack of business acumen and criminal behavior. I am glad people are finally recognizing multiple Courts should be coming after him. He has Family Court for the case he started against Melody. He has not complied in 2 years with the Court demands. That is criminal and civil contempt imo. Bankruptcy Court should reopen his case in my opinion. He appeared to be very midleading on the paperwork submitted to hide assets and income. There was also the questionable "land purchase" with Belinda during that process. Why was she purchasing land for Martel then selling/giving the land to him for less than market value. I really believe all of that was to mislead the Court. Martel further compounded the questionable nature of his bankruptcy case adding debts he incurred taking money under false pretenses for services he legally was not supposed to perform. That should equal to a whole bunch of federal charges in my opinion. Then there are the innocent consumers he mislead pretending he is a licensed builder. The dollar amount and funky paper work should result in multiple criminal charges and cases in my opinion. Those people should work together in pressing the DA for charges, and contact their state and federal representatives regarding the inaction of local authorities. I bet there where wire transfers involved in this case (interstate commerce). That along with Martel trying to include possible fraudulently obtained money in his debt resolution bankruptcy should have additional federal charges in my opinion. Then we go to the rp case. The nature and scope of the crime was admitted by Martel and his girlfriend in the media. It has been diminished an minimized by Huntsville and Alabama in my opinion. The charges were no where near as serious as the crime. I had hoped the case would be picked up federally because the video and images were transmitted via cell phone. Alabama unfortunately is being true to reputation. The victimization of a woman and her children is being ignored. If things were right and justice, Martel and any of his co-conspirators would be getting arraigned in multiple state and federal courts in the coming months. Too many people and institutions have covered for his incompetent clownery. Now there is an unpredictable monster that does not know when to pivot and quit. (EDIT) I forgot to include State of Alabama Contactor's as an entity that should be coming after Martell legally. If he was making contracts with people to build homes without a proper license, he was violating the law in my opinion. Why the State has not pursued a case for operating without a license, at least, is beyond me.

If he has a degree any degree.. he could work at any retail place as a manager and the post office is hiring. And also he has a one track mind, he could have been made money with his looks so many people do workouts and also need trainers. Not to mention a health cookbook. It could have sold like hot cakes. I strongly believe if he would have did therapy and put his mind on the right track he could have been recovered and been in a better stance with Mel.
