It is a fact in this case. And people love this story. Why? Because so many people (specially immigrants) are struggling financially and this is a model that gives them hope. I think it is totally OK to highlight the fact that their families were once in bad shape but through hard work and discipline you can become successful. It also tells you Spanish football values talent over origin and backrground. And, by the way, there's nothing shameful about being poor. It's just not pleasant.

As a Spaniard that dislikes racism and would like to see harmony between all the peoples in the world, I am thrilled that we have players like Yamal and Williams who are not white and have their origin in Africa. I hope this helps some previously racist Spanish fans learn to love people of other races. This could help reduce racism significantly in Spain. As an African man living in Europe, and I must say that European football coaches have given immigrants kids many oppurtunities like any other kid in their country; and that should be thanked for it. The Spanish coach could have left Nico and Yamal for many reasons but he gave him a chance. There is no perfect society, but many coachs in Europe are doing what ever they can to treat everybody the same.

@@yawos9024 Playing African players doesn't necesserily mean they are good players. France plays African orgine players who are French. So, even if they were all whtie French they could have reached the same level of success. Race doesn't guarantee success. Many African origine players play for France, it is because football is a working class sport and too many immigrant kids play - so France instead of selecting players based on their color they chose to play who ever was available to them, and that should be something to respect for the French nations; not use against them.

The heart warming thing is both Yamal and Nico relentlessly assist Morata to score, even though they have numerous better chances to score, but their respect to their captain came before their talents. Whatever happened, they both show strength in the match and outside the pitch. Black players have been playing in Spain (national team and clubs) since the 80´s and never happened anything bad. A minority of people who try to attack the rival club chanting racist slogans is horrible but is a minority, most fans of the clubs are normal people and never do that, at the national team (in the National Team of 2008 for example) never was a problem. There are many other places with real and big racist/discrimanation problems; India for example against other religions (muslims) or the Caste system (and that is a real problem), and so on in many other countries. Get only the mainstream "assumption" doesnt mean jt is real.
